My 7 years old is good reader but sometimes is difficult to motivate him to read more. So I went to YT for recommendations and this book was recommended by 8 year old boy. Than we read sample on kindle with my son and he seemed to like it a lot. Once book arrived my son was so excited to read it was fun and interesting he didn’t want to stop… he finished it same night and now we will be getting whole series!Book is cheap so is paper quality so need to remember to be gentle with this book.

My granddaughter and I shared the experience of reading it across Alexa. She read it out loud for me. She did a great job and had fun reading it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

I only picked this book because I enjoyed "The Happiest Refugee" by Ahn Do. I didn't realize that it was more suited to children but I enjoyed it.

My 1st grade seven year old loved it! He read it in about three days and was asking for the next book already. We found this series after my son fell in love with Anh Do's other series Ninja Kid.

WeirDo is a funny 3rd grader with an eccentric family and a host of interesting classmates. Weir has a great lighthearted outlook that kids can laugh at and identify with. I run a children’s book subscription company (jambobooks.com) that sends our subscribers 2-3 books each month that feature children of color as the stars of their own stories. I’m looking forward to sending WeirDo to our 7-9 year old subscribers soon.

My rating is based on target audience/reading level- my son is in 3rd grade and read this in 45 minutes (And it’s not like he’s an exceptional reader) - it’s mostly pictures and is short. I was hoping for something closer to the Diary of A Wimpy kid books that would keep him occupied longer. That being said he did love it and it would probably be great for a 6 or maybe 7 year old- any older and I’d suggest the library so you don’t spend money on something that won’t occupy someone long.

Great series! Problem is we are into the series and can’t find some of them! Wish they were easier to buy.

It was really funny and I think that this book will be written down in funny history I loved it

Es un libro perfecto para empezar la lectura en inglés. Fácil de leer y entender. Una historia muy entretenida. Tenemos varios libros de este autor en español y todos son un éxito y este también le gustó mucho a mi hijo.

My son finished four books in a weekend, he loves this series.

Highly recommend.

This was a Christmas stocking stuffer for my grandson, who seemed pleased with it.
