How to Write an Essay, Grades 6-8 Paperback – October 1, 1999

This was a need because I have been teaching my son all the essentials that he would need, in order to help him during this virtual transition & to have him prepared for the return to in person learning. I needed to have something that was fun for him, that give him a visual and helped up grasp a better understanding of the common core material he was being taught.. He loves it and this has helped me further advance him more so than if I never added this to his education. I now can also use this to transition to grade 7 and this can give him a lot of structure & preparation during the summer leading to the next great.

I'm a homeschooling mom and was looking for a proper guide for teaching essays. I know how essential they are for higher grades and getting into college. This book is a user friendly tool. What I like most is how in-depth it is. It goes over every aspect to consider when writing an essay. From brainstorming, to finding information, and even considering who your target audience is, which most children this age don't even consider when writing. No regrets with this purchase!

This is not what I needed for my middle schooler. I found other books that worked better for us

Kids were having a rough time on writing, this purchase made simple for them to understand.. Home schooling is not easy but this helps

Easy to understand

It is only 48 pages in entirety, and there is not nearly as much information as I had hoped.No more information on essay writing than what a good language curriculum would teach.

My 12 year old twins have been working through this series of workbooks with great progress. I highly recommend this series for the homeschool student who needs very clear and concise assignments to prevent frustration.
