GIANT WINGED MESS!!!!
Hasbro’s 3.75” Marvel Infinite Series Ant Man and Giant Winged Ant starts off looking really awesome from a visual stand point. The figures are wonderfully displayed in the package and one can only imagine the hours of posable features these two collectible figures could add to a diorama, a collection or a child’s imagination.Wrong, that is just where it ends! Once removed from the packaging, one may as well throw the giant ant in the garbage; unless you are a collector that has many patience and does not get frustrated easily, and has great tolerance for toy makers that continue to have little regard for the adult collector or for a child wanting to play with a toy (for matter of fact) that will hold together and does not continue to fall apart continuously.THE PROS: The Ant Man Figure has a wonderful inspired paint job. The Body suit is endowed in black; red and metallic sliver as from the Ant Man movie. He is fully articulated with the following (21) articulation details: swivel head, ball-jointed left / right shoulders; ball-jointed/swivel left / right elbows; swivel left /right hands; swivel waist; swivel left / right hips ,double-jointed left / right knees, ball-jointed left right rocker ankles. Furthermore, Ant Man’s metallic belt is a separate piece (at the figure’s waist) for added embellishment. No weapons included.THE CONS: Forget the possibilities of posing Ant Man atop the Giant Winged Ant and zooming off on any adventures. The Ant’s legs will not stay attached long enough to get off the ground, let along while on!!! They continue to fall off at will. The 3.75” figure and the attached wings are too heavy. “Leave the figure sitting atop the giant ant and within a few minutes most of the legs have fallen off and the ant is face down in the dirt, and legs have been severed”! (What nightmarish drama for children). Even the ant’s head has the tendency to fall off when moving (especially when trying to get the legs re-attached). The problem is what other reviewers have referenced. It's the design of the ant’s ball and socket attachment of the legs to the ant’s body. Thus far the only area of the ant that has not fallen apart from the rest of the main body is where the ant’s abdomen attaches????As an intermediate figure customizer I did not want to permanently glue the legs in place. And would like the possibility to return the figures back into the packaging for storage at a later date (should I chose). After first learning that “glue dots” and some glue techniques presented problems with the ball/socket dilemma ( we have been bless with); I borrowed a suggestion from an issue we had with the SW AT-TE several years ago.(DISCLAIMER: Attempt at your own risk. This reviewer does not assume any liability or responsibility for the results if attempted by reader.) If you agree read on--I pulled out the old dremel tool; small plastic tubing; superglue and hatched a plan to allow the legs to remain in the sockets and continue to be adjustable. Remove the legs; dremel larger socket holes; glue long strips of tubing to the ball joints of each leg. Insert the ¾” strips of tubing up and through each socket of the giant ant’s body (while hot from the dremel tool) completely forcing the ball joint (tube covering end) into the body socket till it sets in correct position; allow to completely cool before adjusting. Caution, do not dremel the sockets to large or the legs will continue to fall out. I know a video would demonstrate, but I completed first without recording--sorry.In conclusion, only buy if you want the 3.75” action figure. The Giant Winged Ant needs lots of work and you will have to either glue it together for display or put in “file thirteen”. This is not recommended for children due to lack of playability or those collectors that get frustrated easy due to the continuous falling apart of the giant winged ant.I would have returned mine, but chose to customize it and have reconciled that I paid “double retail” for the just then 3.75” movie inspired Ant Man figure and a giant piece of winged plastic.

Few small fixes i found..
I normally do not like writing reviews on figures, but i decided to do so.First off, i pre-ordered this but ended up seeing reviews before it was delivered to me - so i felt i was going to receive a dud and i might have to return it. Just like others, i took it out of the package and it fell apart. I've owned a ton of other companies figures - figmas, revos, RAHs, Hot Toys etc - and i've never seen anything like this.Instead of gluing i figured out that the pieces might not be assembled right on mine, for others - i'm not sure if yours are similar. I switched the legs and front leg pieces - and atm things are now fitting well enough i can push him around. without anything falling off. I first swapped the two basic back legs - and put the shorter ones in the middle. I then took the front nobs that extended the front legs - switched them and saw which leg would stick into it's connector better... Then it was fixed, with all parts being correctly displayed (meaning no backwards pieces facing out). No glue, no pledge, no problems. I've not done one other thing to it. The wings were falling out. so i flipped em as well - and they stick. With the wings - i cant fix the flop that goes with it - it's the weight. As for Ant Man - ugh. He's a decent looking character - but he doesnt want to hold to my ant well. He falls off -and his leg flies off.. This is a problem for me cause i want to suspend him from the ceiling. The figure itself isnt broken, i can pop the leg back on - but i'm not wanting to lose the leg when it flies off under furniture.Other then that -with the flips - i have a decent large ant.

GETS ME ALL ANTSY IN MY PANTSIES.
I'm giving this figure set 5 stars in part because of it having so many low ratings that I want to help it out, but it'd get at least 4 stars from me anyway. I had read all the reviews about the ants legs and wings falling off, so I was prepared for that. However, since I caught it on sale at 13.99 it became a logical purchase. When new figures are released they run that price or higher so at the least I was getting the new Ant Man figure - who by the way looks awesome. Great paint job & articulation. Now as far as parts falling off - maybe I got lucky and received a good one. I would say there is a minor issue with one or two of the limbs but its with substantial handling/maneuvering; not as if you pick it up and they just drop. Same goes for Ant Mans left leg but that is due to the articulation which differs from a standard MU figure. Since he can ride the ant, his legs are on a ball joint which allows them to be lifted sideways nearly 90 degrees. If you go too far w/too much force they do come off. The figure seats quite well between the abdomen and thorax. There's nothing to hold him on but as long as his legs are reasonably set he doesn't really fall off. Obviously he cant go upside down or anything. I've had no issues whatsoever with the wings. The ant is perfectly sculpted - almost creepy since it looks so real, but giant. A Christmas present for my 2 year old son... and if he can handle it without much falling off I'd like to think an older child or average adult also could.

Great figure, sad dead ant.
Ant man figure was great! The large ant however lasted approx. 1 minute until he met his demise. I pulled him out of the package and all his limbs fell off and scattered. A sacrifice was made.
