Made my comfortable sneakers even more comfortable
I'm not crazy about sneakers that tie with standard laces, and prefer Velcro fasteners on my sneakers. However, Costco had a great price on Fila sneakers, and I already had a pair of Fila's from Costco that were comfortable and long-wearing. Once I started wearing the new Fila sneakers, I liked the fit and comfort, but the laces always came untied and were a bother. I got a set of these Homar elastic laces and gave them a try -- and I love them! They made my Fila sneakers more comfortable and easier to get in and out of.The first shoe I laced up with the Homar stretchy laces, I forgot to thread one of the laces through the loop on the tongue. Ooops! You really need to do that to get the most out of the laces, as that keeps the tongue from sliding down to your toes when you slip the sneaker on. I tried to get the stretchy lace out of the shoe's eyelet using my fingers, but I could not get it out. I pinched and pulled and thought I might break it, but I could not get the lace out. Fortunately, I have a pair of extremely pointy needle-nose pliers, so I used those to push the Homar stretchy lace out of the eyelet so that I could thread it through the loop on the tongue. Mission accomplished, and the laces are now the way they should be.My Fila sneakers are walking shoes, and the Homar laces are perfect for them. It is so-o-o-o comfortable to have the gentle give of the laces when I walk. However, these stretchy laces are not as solid-feeling as standard shoelaces, so my Fila sneakers are a bit looser on my feet. It's probably okay for jogging with the Homar laces, but playing a sport where you have to plant your foot and change direction quickly (tennis, basketball, etc.) will cause the shoe to slip. Standard laces would be better there. However, for around the house, working in the yard, going for a walk and all-around general comfort, these Homar laces are excellent. And they look good, too. Finally, getting in and out of these Fila sneakers is much easier with the Homar laces. Slipping off the shoes is just like a pair of loafers -- they pop right off. Putting the sneakers on takes a hand to help slip them on, but it's a one-handed task and much easier than dealing with laces.I like the fit, feel and look -- at a casual glance, they look just like shoelaces. And they never come unlaced! I recommend these Homar stretchy shoelaces.

Lace-up shoes become easy slip-ons; no loops to trip over
This is my second time buying/using silicon no-tie laces (to replace the traditional laces that came with my shoes.)The first pair I tried (and generally liked well enough) was made by a competitor (rhymes with Nicky's) -- a similar concept but they have a "loop" at one end of each piece that snaps over a little "hook/button" to secure them. I liked those fine, really -- I LOVED converting my lace-up tennis shoes into easy "slip-ons"! But (having US-12 feet) they didn't last terribly long for me, and one by one they started breaking after about 5 months of frequent/near daily wear. (They also were very easy to accidentally "unhook" when I'd cross my feet at my ankles.) When enough of them wore out so that I needed to consider a replacement, I found this brand's product as an alternative and decided to try it.I haven't quite made it to 5 months with these yet (to test longevity of this brand) but I do like this product more already, vs. the first product I'd used, for several reasons:1. At a glance these look more like you have regular laces in your shoes -- they even have a subtle "fabric-like" texture on their flat surface, like a real lace would. And you don't see the "button/hook" in the center of each silicon lace like my earlier product. These give a slightly "cleaner", less-cluttered appearance as a result.2. These can't accidentally "unhook" by resting one foot on top of the other/crossed your feet at the ankles.3. These come as a set of graduated sizes -- make perfect sense for tennis shoes/sneakers, where the spacing between eyelet holes gets wider quickly as you move up the shoe -- the competitor's product was entirely same-length pieces, regardless of which pair of eyelet holes you were lacing -- having graduated lengths in this product I feel contributes to a better fit, AND I think, less likely to have over-stretching (by using a longer piece in the upper, wider eyelet holes) hopefully less breaking. Additionally, because I can use the shorter-length ones nearer my toes, the overall fit of my shoe is now a little more snug (not at all over-tight, however) than the competitor's result.(Right now, I have this product entirely lacing my left shoe, and the competitor's product entirely lacing my right shoe, so it is easy to compare fit and feel.)I will happily buy these again (for my other pairs of tennis shoes) once I pass the 5-month mark with no breakage, to confirm whether they last any longer for me. vs. the first product. My only caveat/warning is that they required some really focused work to get them INTO the tennis shoes' eyelet holes -- I had to use a tapered, flat-tipped chopstick to help force them through the tight eyelet holes of my shoes. Took about 10 minutes to get both shoes outfitted with these, but I love the result!

Biggest piece of crappola I’ve ever bought on Amazon. Run for your life!!!
These are very hard to put in the he shoes. I mean it’s crazy hard , I read other reviews that said it was hard, but I thought “really how hard can it be?” I’ll tell you how hard! Crazy, freaking, cuss like an angry trucker sailor hard. It would be like 5 million times easier if the ends were stiff , but there not so they totally suck rocks. Once we got them in our sons shoes(my husband & I had to switch off back & forth trying to install them so we wouldn’t loose are frigging minds), they worked great for a couple of weeks. Then horror of horrors a couple broke. But after all the work that went into them, we let him wear them for a bit, not super effective, but like I said after all the blood, sweat & tears that went into it, we couldn’t let it go. So pretty much straight up crap!!!! Don’t buy them, take my word for it. I didn’t listen to the other reviews & I am barely alive to tell about it.

A very small price for a very large reward if your child is differently-abled.
My son is a teenager with autism, and he has struggled his entire life with shoelaces. I decided to give these a try after seeing similar brands advertised on facebook. They were a HUGE hit! He wears adult shoes now, and they were very easy to install in his Nike Air sneakers. It was extremely important that I find something like this, as now that he is in high school changing out for PE and having proper athletic clothing and shoes is mandatory. Now that he wears mens shoes, we were really struggling to find a lace-free athletic shoe. This completely solved our problem and gave my son so much confidence! Not to mention his growing feet really needed the proper support from better shoes, and these gave us that gift. Innovative and life-changing sound like spin words, but for us they are legitimate truths.

Addio stringhe!

Great so far!
I don't usually write reviews, but I'm really impressed by these laces so far that I just had to! Read a bunch of reviews about these over the past few days & decided to go for it.Yes; they're tricky to thread into the shoe eyelets, especially the first one. But once you have the technique, it's fairly easy. 1st shoe took me 7-8 minutes total, 2nd took me just a 2 mins tops.I don't think they're ever going to be "tight", I'd probably not recommend these for walking/running/hiking. However, for the way I wear shoes, these are ideal! I have an electric skateboard & always wear skate shoes. Skate shoes are notoriously loose fit anyway & I especially don't want any laces anywhere to potentially get caught in the skateboard wheels. That being said, they are certainly a lot better than I thought. They don't pinch or hurt at all, I can't feel them. Then again, this could be due to the type of shoe I have (very thick tongue).Had them on for 20 minutes, very happy so far. Time will tell how long they will last, but the rubber seems very durable and very flexible! 5 stars, so far. Really pleased!

Rubber lace replacements - good for gym shoes
The SRP for these was never ever close to £50, so ignore the supposed big discount. In truth, these lace-replacements are over-priced compared to what you can pay for them from other websites. I got mine during a lightning sale and although I could have got them cheaper elsewhere, I like the shopping experience of Amazon, knowing that if something isn't right, they'll manage the return fairly. These lace-replacements are simply rubber connectors, but they do work. I have 7.5/8 size feet, and they're fine for me. I use them on my gym trainers and they add convenience without affecting fit. They work very well, and they look reasonable. I wouldn't put them on trainers I wear out, and certainly not on dress shoes. I bought them for one purpose and they're good for that.

Bin the laces
Used these on a pair of Vans high tops, but used two pairs so that I could have double wider fastenings around the ankles (whether this was actually needed is doubtful), and I now have slip-ons that look quite cool without any hanging laces or bows. So, my main likes are a) ease of use, and b) they look cool. Each fastener is engraved on one side, so that they look like fabric rather than Silicon. The reverse side is flat and if they turn over when your slipping your footwear on, you then have to fiddle about a bit turning them over again - but that's only happened once to me. I knocked off one-star because of these, but I might be being a bit harsh. They are a bit fiddly to fit, but a bit more robust than you'd imagine. Haven't had them long, so how well they will last remains to be seen.

Not for me. Too loose and not comfortable
I didn't get on with these. They aren't tight enough for me, and the ends of the rubber dig into the top of my feet.I wear 10.5UK and even using the smallest ones they weren't tight enough. I know that some shoes have smaller or wider width between lace holes but on a standard pair of shoes it isn't tight enough and my foot wobbles around inside. The fitting is a little tough and fiddly but holds well. However, the ends of the rubber dig into my foot and are generally uncomfortable.Im switching back to laces.

Challenging to install
First of all, be ready for a challenge and make the right choices to begin with. Make sure your shoes have grommets in the holes. Make sure you are sure of the shoes you want to put them in. The first pair I picked didn't work at all because they had a loop that wouldn't accommodate the laces. I struggled to get the laces in, but it was nearly impossible to get them out again. This is where the 'make sure your shoes have grommets' comes in. It took me 15 minutes to get the laces out of one shoe and 10 minutes to put them in a new pair. I am down 2 nails and up one blister. I wore them around the house for a while and realized that they may be a little tight. The ends do protrude a little inside the shoes. Very strong product and the concept is great. I just have to find the right shoes.

Only for very large and wide feet...
Possibly useful if you have very large and wide feet? I'm size 38/5 UK/8 US, with narrow feet, and the largest of these shoelaces (supposed to be at the top of your shoe) are as wide as my entire foot, floor to floor. This means the are way too wide to be of any use to me. I tried using the smaller ones only, but they were still so big my shoes wouldn't stay on my feet. A poor product.

Does the job
Does what it says on the listing, looks like in the picture - giving 5 starts. However a little to expensive. You can get similar ones for £1 from China. Probably these are made in the same place. Well, still better paying £8 than buying nikes auto lacing shoes for $8750.

help need new fingers!
Awful to fit. Most trainers have small holes, and one pair of my trainers had loops, which were totally unsuitable for these elastic gizmos. Once fitted they are almost impossible to `slip on`. Its like trying to put on a pair of trainers with the laces already done up. Dont buy unless you have metal lace holes, or you will get extrememley sore fingers.

Wouldn't buy again.
Not as stretchy as described . Every time I put the shoe on, the top 2 laces pop out on one side. Quite tricky to thread them through when your shoe is already on your foot then so you have to redo them and be extra careful.I bought these for a disabled family member so quite dissapointed.

Good but dug in to my feet.
I love the idea of these and they were great at first, but I had to stop using them because the rubber that goes through the shoe lace holes to hold the pretend laces in place was digging in to my feet and became unbearably painful. They do look good and stay clean. Maybe your feet aren't as bony as mine.

A must buy if you want to turn your trainers into slip ons.
I first saw this product in Australia and was delighted when I found them online. If like me you like to slip your trainers on and off, then this is a must have. Can be a bit fiddly to put in. You just need to be firm with them. Don’t worry they won’t break even though they look flimsy.

Work far better than other brands I have tried.
Have tried other brands but these are far superior. Variety of sizes to fit slimmer or wider shoes. Turns tie ups to slip ons in a merger of minutes. One of the “laces” was slightly misshapen when it arrived but other than very rarely popping out it works fine.
