Not what I expected from this book
Do not get me wrong, the cover and all 20 pages of the book look beautiful, wonderfully organized and illustrated. It was my mistake to think that it will suit soon to be 9 yo to understand more about microbes. My child finished in in under 5 minutes. There are too many illustrations and not enough of the words. I was hoping that this book will have more details about microorganisms, but it was just “they can be this small or they can be this big”. It will probably will be more suitable for a up to 7yo and absolutely not for teens and young adults as advertised.

Nice details
Very nice for a perspective on where we find microbes. Will be looking forward to presenting to my grandchild. Took longer to get here which was a known factor since it came from overseas. Worth the wait. Still arrived in time for Christmas

I first saw this book on a trip to Great Britain and immediately knew it would appeal to my relatives who are scientists. A children's book that talks about e.coli and other such microbes is great stuff. The book doesn't shy away from anything, contains great information, and is delightfully illustrated.

Get this for your favorite little scientist!! Great book!
Wonderful illustrations! Great explanations. It also explains how germs can be good so your kid won't freak out about them being everywhere. I highly recommend this book!

Perfect for preschoolers and older!
Our 4yo is obsessed with the human body and cells, and this book goes perfectly with that. It covers microbes, their tiny size, what they do, and other aspects. This book is rather simplistic, so don't expect lots of scientific details, but it's great at teaching younger kids about germs and the like.

Awesomely clear and age appropriate
Tiny the Invisible World Of Microbes. Nicola Davies teams up with Emily Sutton once again to produce another absolutely amazing non-fiction delight. This book teaches us what microbes are and the important role they play in everything around us.The illustrations marry up with the text perfectly to reinforce and clarify the information being presented. The perfect combinations mean that even my two year old can tell people that germs are microbes and my four year old can tell people microbes make our fruit go mushy by soaking the fruit up through their skin. I love both Lots and Tiny and hope that Nicola and Emily keep producing these books. They are the mechanics behind what will drive the next generation to not only fight for their planet, but understand the theory behind the actions needed to correct the planet. It’s books like these which will lead to thinkers producing solutions such as destroying plastic with microbes etc. A must on your children’s bookshelf if you are trying to grow little scientists and especially if you want to introduce science vocabulary and understanding at a young age.

Unique with amazing illustrations
Fabulous book of amazing drawings and interesting facts.I read this to toddlers so miss out bits and pieces that may worry them but for an older child, perhaps 7, it would be fascinating.A very unique and interesting book

Excellent
This is an excellent introduction to microbes. My 4 year old absolutely loves this book and now regularly refers to microbes. I also used it in a science lesson with Year 6 as a starter and they were all captivated by it. A very engaging book for children with lovely illustrations. Highly recommended.

Microbes are described simply for young children to easily grasp and it's beautifully drawn
This is an extraordinary picture book for young children. Microbes are described simply for young children to easily grasp and it's beautifully drawn. It makes for a fascinating read. For a potentially complex subject it is very well authored and makes you feel actually rather awed about microbes and their importance to the world. What I think is also very positive is that it doesn't generate fear about microbes in any way. My 4 year olds are really taken with it, as am I!
