Storm WildEye Swim Shad 02 (Pearl, Size- 2)

I've never really had much luck with these shad lookalikes in the past but on my second cast with this thing, I caught a striped bass. I've tried other lures that imitate shad, rattle, and are shiny. They don't seem to really work well for me so I was doubting this one. It really did surprise me! By the end of my 3 hours of fishing, I had caught 5 striped bass off just one of these lures.Also important to note, it didn't get caught on anything because of the way it's shaped. Can easily move through weeds and didn't hook onto any rocks.

I bought this to pair it up with my .25oz. curl tail Booyah Boo Rig but this isn't really anywhere near a standard pearl color, this is far more like a shimmery clear/ghost color pattern, but it'll go just fine with my bladed Boo Rig.

I bought the 1/8 version to see if they're more durable than the Berkeley Porgy swim bait and immediately noticed that these were heavier for some reason even though both were 1/8 version. Looked at the box and noticed that even though it lists it as 1/8 it is actually 5 grams instead of 3-1/2 grams so in reality it is actually 3/16 oz and not really 1/8oz like that have it listed. Seen to work okay but I definitely would prefer it to be lighter at the 1/8 oz it was listed as because the 3/16 sinks faster and seems to get caught up in the muck more than the Berkeley 1/8 swim bait I was using. Might be a little more durable than the Berkeley though which tears very easy but I also lost the tail on this in my first few casts so it's not super durable either. I'll probably stick with the Berkeley swim bait since it is lighter and I have caught quite a few bass on it even with it torn. Kind of wish Zman would make a prerigged 2 inch swim bait in 1/8oz as I'd definitely buy it for it's durability vs this or the Berkeley one.

First cast with this lure and had a good bite, didn't land the fish because I didn't set the hook (surprised the crap out of me). These particular lures are for smaller fish, they're only 2 inches in length. Quality hook, sharp as hell. The size 3 is better for medium to larger fish. The size 4 is for large fish. These brand of lures swim like life-like minnows/shad/bait fish. They really seem to attract a bite.

She had caught crappie, sunfish and some Large Mouth Bass with this lure. Good for use with kids learning how to fish. It catches them.
