Works great on Amana fridge
This part worked perfectly on our Amana fridge. Make sure you do your homework first and make sure you get the right part. I had to get the parts list for the model AND manufacturer (see pic). This is so easy to do! We paid the extra money for next day shipping (we really wanted our fridge to work). Look at YouTube for how-to videos.

Perfect Fit and fixed my fridge
So far so good. Part fit perfectly and the fridge works. The rest of the review is information. Notably the compatibility checker did not know that our Kenmore 596.73503201 was compatible with this part, I bought on the fact the Sears parts listed this as the correct part number for my fridge. Notably Amazon was 1/2 the cost.My Kenmore french door fridge failed. We pulled the back cover off and found the fan running but the compressor idle and hot. I looked online and found this was often caused by a relay failure. I pulled the relay, checked the compressor resistance (8 ohms, 12 ohms) was good. Once I had the relay out I noticed it rattled like a lot of stuff was floating around inside.I bought the new one and everything is working. They lose 1 star because we upgraded to overnight prime and ordered before noon. The part didn't ship until the next day so we ended up being one more day down. First world problem but... Amazon already refunded the prime upgrade so no biggie. Just should have shipped day of order. If anything goes wrong I will post an update but I am happy, I didn't need to buy a new fridge.

One Star
Go directly to a three in one hard starter. It worked after this relay failed in a week.

Concerned about this part
I purchased this part #67002783. My first part was damaged and my second part never worked right so I placed the damaged one in and I got the same problem. It just buzzes. When you take it off you can hear it rattle. That is how you know it's bad. The real problem here is that the bag says Made in US. The shell of the part says Made in Mexico and the relay part of it says CHINA. I wish it didn't say Mexico & China. Maytag, Amana, and Whirlpool has let us down.Update: If you still have a Tecumseh compressor in your 10+ year old fridge your doomed. I read that they have issues where the bearings inside go first. It will run good when cool to the touch but not start when it gets warm. Mine was marked TP122AR003B8. It's a common R134A compressor and most are replaced with a Embraco? compressor now. I was fooled by all test showing a good compressor. So I took it out on the relay. Not knowing about this issue. So, it could be that your relay is good and your compressor is done.Having the compressor replaced is a big expense. If it's not under warranty then you may want to start looking towards a new fridge.I'm not an expert. I'm just going by my own experience with my own fridge. I knew any calls to have it serviced being over ten years old would be mine to pay so, I chose to fix it myself. I looked online and found a lot of help. It wasn't till I looked to see about the compressor that I found out about the issue with the Tecumseh model problems. My original issue was that it would not keep cold and I would hear it buzz. Which was not normal even with it's regular pops and crackles. This buzzing happened approx. every two minutes when all was said and done. I hope this helps somebody. Harry
