My vacuum had quit doing the great job for which I had bought it, I had kept the filter cleaned after every dumping or two, big or small. It had lost so much of the suction, I was about to throw it away. But couldn't find another good one for the money I'd paid. Bought filter, daughter and grand daughter were helping me clean, so they changed the filter out. Within 5 minutes the vacuum died on them. I was ready to throw it out.. then I remembered the filter, they had put it in upside down.. Vacuum works like brand new again and great suction!! I'll buy again!!

I had never replaced the filter before because I assumed it would be expensive. When I did, the before and after effects were impressive. Nice that there is this more affordable option since the vacuum isn’t very costly itself.4 stars because it's not quite as well designed as the official one. You can compare & they don't really look the same, but it definitely fits & works. I have no idea what the difference in functionality is.

First of let me say we love our Bissell vac but lately we had decided it did not do a very good job picking up random pieces of cat litter. Until the day the we discovered a whole additional filter that we had never noticed. And was packed with two years of stuff! I shop vac'd it as well as possible and ordered this replacement.The replacement foam filter seems much thicker than the original and I think it will even work better than the original.And now the vac sucks up everything

These filter work well in the Bissell PowerEdge Hard Floor Vacuum and cost a few dollars less than the company brand. I like saving a few dollars when I can. They look just like the dirty brand name filter I thew away. Initially I noticed the filter that came with the vacuum was dirty and washed that. The wash did add more life to the filter but it is a very dirty job, so I decided to never do that again. As far as these being washable goes, I'm not sure. I don't intend to ever try it out.

The foam on these are thinner that the OEM, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. I have been using one of these and alternating with the OEM and haven't been able to tell a difference in wear so far. I just bought a second one of these to have as a reserve. I do wash it weekly and clean the hair off the filter every other day.

This fits my Bissell Power Edge vacuum perfectly. It breathed new life into my machine. I really thought we were going to need to replace the vacuum after *someone* used it to clean up drywall dust. But replacing this filter and thoroughly washing all of the other accessible parts had made it work like new again.Love that this is washable considering the Bissell replacement is not. Great price, too!

I like that it's washable because it is almost impossible to get all the dust out of it by tapping it out. You have to clean it often though which is a pain but thats more of the whole vacuum's fault. Like the price.

The washable filter is great; my Bissell Power Edge picks up so much (all hardwood floors), I have to constantly clean the filters. Now I wash one and while it's drying I slip a new set into the cup (both filter and foam-wrap) and am able to finish what I started. If you have this type of vacuum cleaner for pet hair and dust I suggest buying a couple of these WASHABLE filters/foam.

Only the foam surrounding the filter is washable. Be careful not to stretch the foam too much when removing it to wash.
