Really Nice Build For the $
Considering I haven’t built one of these since the third grade and I am 42 lol, I think for as frustrating as it could be sometime this turned out great! Will come back after launching it soon and update with a video, but this is an awesome historic NASA rocket that makes an excellent reusable model rocket or scale model! But be ready to put some work in finishing this one my friends!

Good quality build of a scaled rocket
Excellent kit- do recommend using some CA glue and accelerator for the capsule. It’s known to be tricky. This isn’t for beginners. Look forward to flying and seeing how the balsa putty works.

Overall good buy. Great flight!
Assembly was more difficult than necessary. Some of the pieces didn't fit together very well. The flight was great! It was accurate and went even higher than advertised. The water slides were large but easy to apply. Nice touch.

Update from original kit
I had purchased this rocket about 10 years ago. That was back when the fins were made of plastic and the body and top of the rocket separated during the recovery phase and both ascended to earth under their own parachutes. Now, this kit has been updated. There were a few pleasant, and challenging surprises. The fins are balsa, but you have to glue two sheets together and then sand the leading edges of the fins. Overall it was a fun build and I look forward to flying it this evening.

Building the escape tower is a challenge but with patience it's doable and pretty sturdy once finished
Not a precisely scale model, but for a flying model it's more than satisfying. Building the escape tower is a challenge but with patience it's doable and pretty sturdy once finished. The fins are surprising rugged. Make sure you use the proper C6-3 engines; if you use an engine with a longer delay the rocket may not be high enough for a safe parachute recovery by the time the ejection charge goes off.

Apply clear coat immediately after applying the decals
First I should mention you have to be very patient with this build and very gentle. When applythe water slide decals be extremely patient and do not touch the decals after they are in place. Apply one side and let that dry. Consider covering with paper towels and tape. Do not tape over the decals. Apply the tape only to the paper towels around the body and maybe the inside of the tube to hold in place. As I mentioned do not touch the decals after they have been attached. You must paint clear coat over the entire rocket to protect them. Try not to handle or touch the rocket until you are ready to apply the clear coat.
