I am a homeowner with some DIY skills. My 22 year old son and I are planning to work on this together instead of hiring a professional and paying $100+. We've already built the wood door. I don't have a concern necessarily about the product. It looks pretty good. What I do have concern about is misrepresentation. It said I would receive an "Installation Manual" which means to me a step-by-step guide to installation. What I got instead, is a piece of paper that has drawings that are very hard to see -- especially the drawings in the circles -- even when using a magnifying glass. The measurements also came in mm -- I work in inches and feet. I know, I know, I googled the conversion. However, when googling the conversion 450mm = 17.7165inches -- this is where the holes are placed on the bar to attach to the wall. This means where I drill is off center to the stud by over an inch. Nowhere in the "Installation Manual" does it show how to get around that. Now, I did email the vendor and he resent the same "Installation Manual" and he also sent a video where it actually does show that I have to use wood piece screwed to the wall before I mount the steel bar -- not sure what thickness but we're going with 3/4". Ok. However, I again asked for step-by-step instructions and instead I was offered a refund of half my money and to go and look at other comments/reviews online. Great customer service !! Don't worry Echo at Doitpower, we'll figure it out.
