Banania Chocolate Powder from France 400 grams

When I feel like a lighter breakfast, I have this. The "flakes" are so light, that when they mix in with the milk, it's the lightest cereal or "cereal drink." I usually don't just drink it, but eat it with a spoon like a cereal - it is surprisingly satisfying, easily digested, and full of chocolatey flavor. Banania is on the healthier side of cereals, considering lots of other boxed cereals are practically candy. I don't have Banania too often so it ends up lasting me a long time. It is now a staple in my pantry (although I keep it in the fridge to make it last as long as possible!).

Its great to have Banania Shipped to the US, but the S&H costs are way too high.

Simply mix about a tablespoon of this powder with some cold milk and you'll have a delicious (and nutritious) chocolate beverage. No heating required but make sure you mix it well - it helps to start by mixing the powder with only a little bit of milk before adding the rest. The resealable packaging is also very convenient. All in all this is a great pantry item to have.

I tried adding cold milk and the power didn't disolve. Really need to add hot milk to the powder or heat the concoction in the microwave after mixing. Tastes good but wish there was more of a banana flavor. Tastes like regular old chocolate milk to me. Also, you don't really get the sense that there's any grains in it. Guess this is designed for kiddie tastes. Maybe they should make an adult version with more complex flavor and texture. Glad I tried it but really not worth the cost.

I grew up on this stuff in France! Love it! And so do my kids!! It’s generally less sweet tasting and more filling than most hot cocoa mixes, seriously the best! We put it on toast, cereal, oatmeal, cream of wheat, all of it!! Yum!!

Good quality cocoa and not too sweet. Mixes well. Not extremely thick but good consistency depending how much you use and what you mix it with. Can’t taste banana though- maybe that’s a good thing!
