My credenza has drawers for hanging files. In some drawers I prefer binders, but they are too shallow for binders to fit. These binders do the job. I even have tabs in some and there is no problem. I also like that the tabs that sit on the drawer and hold up the binder, must be pushed in in order to open the binder, so it won't open while suspended. I have now purchased nine of them and my files are organized. These binders are perfect.

Hope and pray a two or three inch version is available at some point. These work well, and they are the only ones you can find currently.

The material of this binder is very sturdy and the things that pull out to be able to hang as a file are very sturdy. I bought the Wilson-Jones Heavy Duty Dublock Roundring Vinyl binder for $7.69 before this one and it was really nice but I had to buy about 8 or 9 of them. I needed to buy 8 more so I thought I would same some money and buy this one. I know this one is about 1/3 less but I really think the Wilson-Jones is worth the extra money. It has inside pockets and is just solid. This Avery is "wobbly" plastic. Just not a real binder. It will bend up if it ever falls off the file hooks and bend up your papers whereas the W-J is a solid binder with no "give" give to it. I really like the pockets because there is always something that I want to keep loose. I am sending all 8 of these back and paying the extra $13 bucks and getting what will look better and be more useful in the long run.

The levers that open the 3-rings to add documents to the folder do not work. All 3 rings wouldn't even open manually without using the levers. I had to toss them in the trash!

Finally organized! I've tried having one huge binder filled with vital papers for each member of our family. While it was a great start, pulling out a GIANT binder just to get my daughter's shot record proved cumbersome. Now, with a hanging binder for each of us (and one for household items), it's easy to pull out the binder (viewed easily by oversize label tag) from my file drawer and flip through to find what I'm looking for. Just like the kind of record keepers that hospitals use.
