I just can't get over how great this looks, with its slim profile and retro cool factor. It has all the functionality of the other affordable models, but in an even slimmer package, and I much prefer the comfortable yellow-orange backlight to the light blue backlight on other models. However, the reviews aren't kidding, this really pulls hair, so much so that it was initially unwearable for me. Rather than replace the strap, I decided to shave my wrist. Fortunately, with it's small profile I didn't have to shave too much. I realize that there is another A700 variant which has a strap that doesn't pull hairs, and that's a great option for someone who doesn't want to shave their wrist, but I really like the more masculine look of this one. I should also mention that the viewing angle is only sharp on the left wrist. It's not invisible by any stretch, but on the right wrist the digital display is a tad cloudy.

Beautiful watch! Excellent quality, perfect size on wrist. I’ve had it for several months now and can give an honest, quality review of it for others looking for a Casio. It’s comfortable, the watch face is low profile, not bulky and perfect for everyday-allday wear. Holds up to claimed quality. It’s not too much and not too little. I genuinely Love this watch, I adore this model in particular. Would recommend to friends and coworkers. I looked and looked for different watches. I chose carefully as I wanted to be sure a watch I chose would be suitable to wear at work in the animal medical field and had the versatility to be worn anywhere else. Ultimately, I’m really pleased with this Casio and would absolutely purchase another in the future. 5 star all the way.

I received my Casio digital watch model A700W-1ACF today. I must say it exceeded my expectations. This watch is inexpensive; but, elegant, and, indeed, more elegant than photos suggest. So, aesthetically, it definitely represents value for money. In addition, immediately, you will be pleased, if, like me, you are looking for a sleek-thin watch that is light-weight and so comfortable you forget you are wearing it. So, excellent for daily wear. The display is crisp-sharp, and the digital numbers clearly viewable from different angles and in different light. The time, calendar, alarm, and other functions are super easy to set up. This is a classic watch for those who appreciate simplicity and understated elegance at a great price. A winner from Casio and a keeper for me.

If you’ve suddenly bounced around to different watch options, the thousands that there are, and digital watches seem the most attractive to you: cheap, good-looking, generally unassuming of character. Then you’ll probably fall between something like the a700 here or one of its more common companions like the a168. Both are nice options and tell the time with expected ease. One thing that you must know before buying the a700 (versus the a168 or even its less developed little brother, a158, which neither suffer quite as much from this issue) is that the watch band here is brutal on any decent coverage of arm hair. I personally can’t go more than five or so minutes without having to take it off because of the irritation caused by constant pulling. Why specifically this is an issue on the a700’s band, I really can’t say specifically. The underside of the band does have a small depressed design of metal going through the length of it that seems to be the culprit, but the a168, though it catches a hair every now and then, has a more flush surface on the inner band, and is nowhere near as constant of a threat to my fuzz. If you have lighter amounts of hair, though, or perhaps none at all, you simply can’t go wrong with the small size and just understated beauty of the design here. And if your pain tolerance happens to be that of a tranquilized gorilla, by all means, buy it regardless of my rabid complaints.

This unique watch looks appropriate in any occasion. Naturally, it is very accurate, and comfortable to wear. It is incredibly functional with calendar, timer, stopwatch, and alarm function. A must have watch for those looking to set it & forget it!

Catch is very flimsy I bought for my partner but he hasn’t worn it cause first time he put it on the catch was pretty useless.

As always, Casio made a fantastic watch! Great for all occasions. I generally wear it to work with a shirt and tie; it flows very well. The bonus is, it doesn't get caught on my sleeve like other bulky watches. It's slim enough for the sleeve to slide over without any issues.
