FobusSG21 Standard Holster for Sig Sauer P225-A1, P226, P228, P245, P220 10mm & .45ACP, P225, Right Hand Paddle

I have acquired many holster. Occasionally I loose count but my wife could tell you. I faithfully review products when Amazon nudges me. I didn’t want to wait on this review. In the attached pics you’ll see Desantis Gunhider with my everyday carry M&P Shield 45 and next to it my Fobus SG-21 with my Sig Sauer P220. I’m shocked at the comfort and conceal-ability of my Sig in this Fobus. It has a much better and more comfortable paddle and imprints less than my small M&P Shield. I may very well run the sig in the new Fobus or perhaps my bellyband depending on clothing for everyday. I’m sure my summer pocket LCP will be back in the mix but I love this new Fobus and the freedom it allows me to carry my favorite Sig Sauer 45. As far as draw, I see no issue. You should always practice drawing from your concealed positions until you get some memory muscle and habit down. However, the tension seems perfect to me. Pull her out like you mean it. Snaps right back into place.

I ordered this as a replacement for the "roto" version of the same holster. The roto version holds the heavy firearm too far from my body and was too "floppy" for the firearm on my purpose built belt. I bought it for my Smith and Wesson 5904. Other than universal fits, there are not many options available in owb holsters for this firearm as it is quite dates.This one, on the other hand, is a much more secure fit, holds the firearm right up against my body, and doesn't "flop" when I walk. The holster cup holds the firearm securely. It does require a decisive draw to remove it. If you're looking for a slower and less deliberate draw, I'd recommend an active retention (thumb break or Serpa type retention) holster for OWB carry.Like all waistline holsters (whether IWB, OWB, tor friction hold) the use of a purpose built belt is a must and will solve a majority of complaints.

I like no belt loop issues or clips that lock onto a belt... being able to remove this holster easily when opportunity allows is a plus. Fobus is a tough little holster from a tough little country that fits my sidearm nice and tight as it is molded to the model. No over strap, but I can do jumping jacks and not have the weapon dislodge. I feel it sits tighter on my side than models that depend on belt suspension clips and it pulls the grip into my side rather than letting it bow outward. The paddle is wide so it feels snug and spreads out the point of body contact without having to tighten my pant belt excessively strangling my guts. It's not expensive as holsters go and does what it is designed to do.

Fobus makes great products. Comfortable. Quick and easy to put on and take off without removing you belt. Holds your gun tight. I recommend spraying some WD-40 or lightly oil the insides of the holster to make it easier to remove you gun.

I read most of the reviews and figured this would be a decent holster. It is probably better than I expected and much more comfortable than I expected. This holster is a true clip on paddle holster. Easy to put on and take off your belt or inside the pants. My jeans have a belt loop that makes putting it over the belt impossible at the hip, but it is very comfortable with the paddle inside the pants and stays put when pulling the gun out. It fits my Sig Sauer P228 perfectly and I would assume the P226 the same. When fully loaded my Sig isn't a light pistol but is easily supported by the holster. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is that the cant and the pistol hold force cannot be adjusted. That being said I wouldn't adjust mine if I could, so not a big issue for me.

I have several Fobus holsters. I really like their products. I think this one was a little too expensive, but I couldn't find it locally. So you pay for convenience

Not a lot to dislike about this holster for it's simplicity. Fits my Sig Sauer P220 Elite SAO perfectly. Wish it had a retention adjustment though it holds the firearm securely without. Decent ride height for concealment and it stays tight to the body. I wouldn't recommend for open carry since it lacks grab resistance.
