This book is fantastic for anyone who wants to learn about Nepalese Shamanism. Well written, informative and the amazing Nepalese shaman Bhola Banstola is an expert in his calling as well as the foremost authority of Nepalese Shamanism. A must read for anyone curious about traditional shamanism!

This is not a book for beginners. Evelyn C. Rysdyk has another book, Spirit Walking: A Course in Shamanic Power that will be of help to anyone starting this journey. She also, advises to find a teacher for one on one help. A nineteenth century king describes Nepal as a " garden for all types of people”. This book will help to understand the rituals of ceremonies for many needs. It tells of the barriers and how to get rid of them and to find true meaning to the Shamanic path. Setting up alters and everything you need to prepare to request a favor from the Gods is discussed. I really like that she included a disclaimer for medical needs as this something many forget. I recommend this book for those serious about taking this journey. You don't have to go to Nepal on your spiritual quest. This book tells of the authors' deep spiritual experience while she was there with teachers of this faith. This book will answer many topics that a Buddhist Lhama will not teach. Those that have received Vajrakilaya and Garuda empowerments and oral teachings, will find many practical instructions.

I liked the book. I don't think I would be participating in any of the activities as it feels a bit like appropriation but I did enjoy reading on the subject.

I could not stop reading this book. While studieng Nepalese shamans traditions for some years I could find so much practical things for deeper understanding these ancient knowledge. All pratises are well described, especially the view of the Western shaman is important to me, so I could follow the ritual instructions and empowerment easily. Never had such a good book about shamanism before <3Thank you Evelyn and Bhola for giving this great knowledge to the world.
