Really good tonkatsu broth
I previously tried the Shoyu and it is decent, as in it tastes better than the packets of dried broth but not exceptional. The shio tonkatsu however is just delicious. It stands up to some of the casual ramen places around us. Throw in a dollop of black garlic and it's *chef's kiss.*

Good but not great
This is a very good ramen base, but it's not great. It is 1000 times better than anything you'll get in a package, and your local ramen shop/Japanese restaurant wouldn't feel bad using this. HOWEVER, there are much higher quality tonkatsu bases available - at of course higher prices. Please don't get me wrong -- this is a very nice soup base. Very good flavor and makes a great bowl of soup. The flavor is on the soy sauce side but with definate pork bone flavor. There is not a lot of fat, so this isn't a 'rich' tonkatsu broth.

Just a touch salty but authentic flavor
My fiancé and I regularly visit a legit ramen restaurant where we live and this is very close to a slow cooked 16hr broth like they make and I’m blown away. So good, color comes out a touch dark but flavor is on point. Worth the purchase. This package is good for 5.5 gallons of broth so do your math and you can really stretch it out.

Possibly old stock
The cap on mine says 20090801 which I assumes mean this was produced in Aug 2009? Kind of concerning though there is no information on how long it is supposed to last. There are two samples pouches attached to the bottle that were dated april 2020.

Old charumera taste I loved!
Tbh it wasn't I was expecting. I thought it's an authentic concentrated ramen soup, but surprisingly it DOES taste like charumera, one of the most popular bagged ramen noodles in Japan. I'm so hooked to it now I'm eating it almost everyday lol. Thought about ordering more, but sadly it's not available anymore. Hope they'll restock or what ever soon. While I'm waiting, I think I'll try different flavor.

Great soup base!
This is a super tasty soup base for Ramen. Be warned, this makes multiple gallons of broth, so you're getting a LOT of base.I have also mixed a bit of paste into Ground Beef to make hamburgers, and it was awesome, too!
