Ettore 48350 Bulb Changer Kit Without Pole,Plastic, Blue

Works great, don’t need to grab a latter and tediously position every time I have to change a ceiling light bulb. Fits perfectly for flood light style bulbs and standard bulbs. Grips the bulbs well and twists them on or off. Would recommend. Just need to find some kind of pole with the proper thread, an old broom stick worked for me.

This kit worked well for me with some precautions I picked up by reading previous reviews.The thumbscrews which lock the fixtures onto your threaded rod just need to be tight enough to keep the fixture from backing off when you're unscrewing the lightbulb. Too tight and you strip the threads in the plastic.I used the suction cup to remove two lightbulbs which worked very easily.I used the large cage to install the replacement bulbs. I found the spring to be too tight so I removed it easily, using needle-nose pliers. Then I slid the blue grippers (?) up so they would grip the edge of the bulbs (see image). This provided plenty of friction to grip the bulbs and screw them into my ceiling cans.I thought this kit was a real value, saving me from scaring the heck out of myself on the ladder again.

My ceilings are 12 ft high, so I needed something to help me change my lightbulbs. This product really made all the difference! Someone in the comments suggested using duct tape to hold the apparatus to the pole. At first, I tried using it as the instructions said, but the attachment wanted to unscrew from the pole. However, the duct tape trick worked and I was able to change out 4 lights in a few minutes. I felt the 'set screw' on the side would do little except damage the plastic threads on my pole, so I just removed it, screwed the appliance to the pole, and wrapped the duct tape around both. Worked like a charm! Thank you to the person who made the suggestion. I only wish Ettore would fix the issue with attachment and I'd give it 5 Stars!

I got this to use with an extension pole to hang balloons from the ceiling. Works great for this purpose.

The screw that secures the handle doesn't is loose, causing it to unscrew on first use. Unfortunately, I'm sending it back.

All parts as shown in the picture on the advertisement comes with it. It works perfectly too.

Revising my review down to 1 star. I was able stretch the flood light changer to fit my bulbs, but then it no longer worked with slightly smaller floodlight bulbs. I tried the suction cum on a new bulb and it stripped off the screw while I was turning/screwing it in. It is now stuck to the bulb 2 stories up.I have Flood lights originally installed in the late 2000's. The large adapter was no where close to fitting and the suction cup would not stick. The mechanism was flexing and working and this looks like it would work on smaller bulbs or smaller flood lights, just not mine.
