V: The Original Miniseries

We need season 3 all 19 episodes restored to hd . Probably impossible as original’s where apparently burned in a warehouse fire . Shame, there is a poor quality dvd of season 3 floating about if anyone wants to finish the show .

A good show which is why I bought an upgrade to Blu Ray from a DVD I owned earlier. The good news, the picture is clearer in Blu Ray so they do appear to have done a better transfer. It has been put in 16:9 this time which is less good as I did notice that it looks like it has been cropped with bits of the picture missing from the DVD versions in order to make that happen. It also must be a Region Free version since I live in the UK and this US disk worked without any issues. I would have preferred them to do the whole five episodes, it was originally shown in two sections, with V The Miniseries being two episodes and V the Final Battle the next three (this disk is just the former and you'll need to buy the Final Battle separately) but a shame that they have put the first two episodes together her in one 3 hour + episode rather than clearly separating them out on the disk. They have kept the same commentary from the DVD set and behind the scenes documentary thing on the disk though.

This is a great mini series and still quite hard to get at a good price.

The original mini series along with the final battle are some of the best 80s sci-fi.
