I guess for the money its not bad at least you will no someone was at the door .however app doesn't open display in time to answer the bell .it rings on the phone but does not display the person until I open the app and its usually to late the person is usually gone by the time APP opens Also I emailed the support with questions about it through the APP and never got a response

Could be better
Eats up my smartphone battery, I would rate the hardware 4/5. New app and firmware could make this unit great. With a lot of research, of the current units available, I like the Ring doorbell, but I don't care much for it being cloud based.

Even though the instructions werent very good and theres not support contact info for the 1 day that it worked it worked well. The alarm function is not that great but works and its wifi connectivity is terrible. It disconnected after the 1st setup and I couldnt get it back on the app after it wouldnt connect. Really wish it worked cause I like the feature that it uses orginal bell power to work.
