EnerCal High Calorie Nutrition Suppliment for Cats and Dogs 5oz Tube

I use it on my dying dog. It gave me 4 monthsExtra months I mixed it in the baby food.

I have a 14 year old boxer dog, and he suffers from low blood sugar. If he doesn't eat late at night before he goes to bed and early when he gets up in the morning he will have a seizure. This product has been a lifesaver to me. Before I go to bed I squirt some in his mouth, and when I wake up in the morning, I squirt some in his mouth then too. Since I bought this product, he has not had a seizure. Of course, he is a 60 lb dog so he goes through it pretty quickly and it can get costly, but again, for the piece of mind, it is worth it to me.

Svaed my 18yr old cars life. We pumped her full of this when she refused to eat back in Feb for a week. This along with SubQ saved her. Stopped it over the summer. Decided to stay her up on it again, her coat looks better, she is more playful, social, and trots beside me even. I can't say enough about this product. We give her about two inches a day.

My senior dog has a difficult time maintaining his blood sugar and his weight. This product does a wonderful job adding the extra nutrition and calories he needs without immediately spiking his blood sugar. Unfortunately I go through quite a bit of these tubes a month which does get quite expensive. I wish they came in a larger bundle or a larger container for those of us that need it long term for our animals. Also if your senior animal has trouble eating try giving them a little of this beforehand. It could be they have low blood sugar, and oftentimes it will spark interest in eating shortly after if it is a blood sugar issue. You could even put the gel on their food as an incentive too if they are picky eaters. My dog, and both of my mom's dogs love the nutritional gel.

I mix this in the wet food of a very old kitty. She is hanging in there despite age and health issues. I purchased the same item at a veterinary clinic for a much higher price. I recommend this for animals that are not absorbing nutrients from their food ie: very skinny despite eating a lot!

My vet recommended this product for my cat who was refusing to eat but needed nutrients. Let me tell you, my cat loves it! Although he does not like when you put it on his paw, he enjoys it when I mix it with warm water in a little bowl. His coat is softer, he has less dandruff, and most importantly, he has energy!

I used this supplement for 2 of my dogs. My older girl had a very bad vestibular event, she just didn't want to eat. This was a lifesaver for her! As for my other dog, sadly he developed stomach cancer. Once again I used this supplement to help get the needed calories into my boy on days when he didn't want to eat. Both are now at the bridge.

I bought this for our 19 yr old Abyssinian cat. She is in perfect health, but being older, and an Abyssinian, she is as skinny as a rail. This breed is like that but the vet wanted to see her maintain or add a bit of weight as every year she loses a few grams. She eats pretty well, but not robustly. So I was hoping this paste would just give her a little boost in calories and nutrients. But she will only rarely lick a bit off my finger. I was putting it on her paw to make her lick it but then it would make her not take any from me on my finger as she knew she had been tricked. Mixed in canned food, she won't touch it either. We have another cat who will eat pretty much anything and I was surprised that he will not have this most of the time either. He doesn't need it, but if I let him try, he is not very interested. So I am a little disappointed and now have 3 tubes that likely won't get eaten. I am still trying with the older gal and maybe she will get used to it.

This stuff can save the life of your puppy - if it has low blood sugar. If you wake up and find your puppy so listless and 'out of it' that it won't even eat, not even the best canned food - if you offer it to them, squeeze some of this into the mouth of the puppy, and an hour later, when this has gotten into the blood stream - your puppy will be up and around again.I've tried the Pet Ag version of this. I don't like that nearly as much.
