Lightweight, Sturdy Shade Umbrella
I was super happy to get this in the mail! While I don’t currently live near the beach, I plan to go on a beach trip pretty soon, so I wanted an umbrella I could use now as a patio umbrella and also have the option to take to the beach when I go soon, and this one did not disappoint!Pros:- Surprisingly lightweight yet sturdy, which makes it very easy to travel with. I included a picture of the carrying case, which is pretty small (could easily fit in any car), and has a big handle so you could carry it like a sling. Great design there.- Easy to put together. Part of the base poll comes apart for storage, and it is as simple to stick it in and push down on the latch.- The umbrella’s reach is HUGE. I was shocked to see just how widget the umbrella can get after seeing how small the carrying case is.- The colors on the umbrella are very vibrant and definitely stand out as a traditional beach umbrella.Con:- I found it to be ever so slightly difficult to push the umbrella out far enough to snap in position, but honestly, that just shows how strong it is. It would take a LOT of force to knock the umbrella down.

Great Beach Umbrella
This is a great beach umbrella. We have 4 of these we bought more than 10 years ago for our annual family trip to Florida and they still look great. Due to expanding family - 8 grandkids - we needed two more. They hold up in the strong florida wind and will stay planted while others around you are blowing away. Sinking them into the sand is easy due to the self drilling tip on the end of the bottom pole. They hold their color and provide lots of shade. Great value for a strong umbrella.

Must use in harder sand.
This will not stand sturdy if you try to set it up in wet sand. It will fall over. You have to use it in almost dry sand. This one has "grooves" to dig down in the sand, where most have a point. This makes it much easier and sturdier, to set and stay in place. We love the size. It was a bit more expensive than the 5 ft. umbrellas we bought but well worth the cost!! You will not regret buying this product!!

Very Good but needs strength to carry & install at the beach
We live in an area where the beaches are on the open Atlantic and we tend to get a lot of strong winds. The umbrella works well and did not succumb to the winds. I would have rated it a 5, except that the whole thing is a bit difficult to manage by myself. (I am 5'3 and 125 lbs). A fairly strong and handy individual has to be there to make sure that the umbrella is well installed in the sand. I should note that the carry bag is very handy and the umbrella is large enough to have 3 to 4 people sit under it in chairs.

Third one!
We love this umbrella so much, it is our third one in ten years. Living in South Florida, It is great for sun protection. We both sit under it with room to spare. We go to the beach often. Once it fades, we add to our pool umbrella collection as they look so nice.

Great big umbrella
This umbrella is great. It’s very large, sturdy and very easy to put together and take apart. We had NO issues at all using it in the sand at multiple beaches. The tilt feature is great for those extremely windy days. We went with friends and their umbrella couldn’t hold up to the wind. We titled ours and had no issues at all with the wind. Would definitely buy again.

Has lasted us 4+ years
We live by the beach and use this umbrella often! It has survived 4+ years of use...The umbrella provides enough shade for 3-4 beach chairs to fit under. The bag handle stitching came undone around year 4, but we have used this thing heavily so thats understandable, and it was an easy stitch fix.

almost a great umbrella, until latch mechanism fails the first time at the beach, after 2 hour drive to get there.
I bought this umbrella because I wanted a super large, colorful umbrella. I wanted something sturdy that would last, so I paid a bit more money hoping to get better quality. It arrived, and is bigger than I expected. Most beach umbrellas are 6ft, and this one is awesome in size. It is colorful and fun. It feels sturdy to hold. It's got the drill auger (permanently) attached at the bottom. So don't expect to use it in your patio, but that's a non-issue for me. I set it up in my living room though to be sure it worked, since a lot get defective reviews. It did! It stayed open for two hours, albeit resting at an angle against a chair. It's got a good bag with a decent strap, nothing fancy but effective. Now for the problem. We get to the beach, drill the umbrella and auger into the sand. It goes into the sand 8 inches or more and feels stable. Then the latched umbrella falls down. I put it back up. Not 5 seconds later, in no wind, it falls down again. So it won't stay up at all, it's completely defective or useless. I don't know how they make such a POC item and sell this stuff. Clearly I'm not the only one who had this issue either, but I guess I was hoping those other low-reviews were a rare case. Now, I was able to get the umbrella to stay up, by rigging a car roof-rack tie down strap around the umbrella ribs a few times. It had a metal clamp, nothing else we had would have worked and a 2 hour drive to the beach was almost ruined over this nonsense umbrella. Any number of basic mechanisms would be better than the plastic+spring they are using. A strong metal clip to hold the umbrella open would be fine, even if not push button. If it were not for the 1st use, defective opening, this would have been a 5 star umbrella probably. Large, colorful, sturdy, very wind resistant. But it should work the first time at the beach.
