JOY OF ROMANTIC PIANO BK1 (The Joy Books)

Have changed my review after playing through this book several times. Some of the pieces are enchanting. I was just used to liking Bach better, but after awhile, these pieces really beguile you! It's wonderful that the great composers wrote original music that is not terribly difficult to play!

I ordered this on the strength of The Joy of Classics, which has many lovely pieces, all within my skill level (between grade 3 and 4). I was a bit disappointed with some of the pieces in this book, although will persevere.

I have Volume 2 which has some excellent pieces, however Volume 1 is very disappointing - a lot of dross!
