These are exceptionally sturdy. I gave ease of installation 3 stars only because this is for making your own floating shelf. That’s not easy. Especially using a super old and extremely hard reclaimed plank like I did. But it’s holding sturdy and that was my biggest concern. Also do not use the anchors it comes with. If you can’t hit a wall stud make sure to use some heavier duty drywall anchors.

I used a live edge maple board to make the most amazing mantle to help redirect the heat from the gas fireplace away from the TV and it looks amazing.

Great for new construction because you can place a stud where you need it. Okay for old construction I just dont feel comfortable with having to use that many drywall anchors.

We are installing six 3 foot long floating shelves, so hardware can get expensive. These are sturdy (we are installing 3 brackets on each shelf) feeling, and we wont hesitate to set our things on the shelves. Finally put the floating shelves and I love it. We had to cut the wall and add a 2x4 so it would be sturdy. My shelves look good

Base/shaft welds aren't square. Require a little hammering to get right. Solid 'meh' for quality.

Overall very happy with this product. I did modify it slightly for my purposes, but I knew that when buying it.
