For many years, I drank the caffeinated version of this Cubano Dark Roast. Best whole bean coffee on the market, in my humble opinion. Two years ago my doctor took me off of caffeinated beverages. At the time, I could not find a decaffeinated version of this Cubano Dark Roast. I tried many brands of decaf, which had to use the Swiss Water method, but could not find the flavor profile I wanted. I recently discovered that Mayorga does produce a decaffeinated version of the Cubano Dark Roast. And it is available from Amazon at a very nice price with fast Prime delivery. Sweet! When I brewed my first pot of the decaf version, I thought I had made a mistake and ordered the caffeinated version. It was that good. Then I suspected I might have forgotten what the caffeinated version actually tasted like. I bought a bag of the caffeinated version and performed a head to head taste test of the caffeinated versus the decaffeinated. My wife and I both could not tell the difference. I have my great Mayorga Cubano Dark roast beans, again, in a decaffeinated version. I am a happy coffee drinking camper.

I am sensitive to caffeine and thus I prefer the Swiss Water Process method of extraction compared to other extraction methods. This method removes the highest percentage of caffeine and is the healthiest method compared to all others (i.e. carbon dioxide extraction method). Although decaffeinated coffee contains small amounts of caffeine, the effect I feel from this coffee is minimal. As for the taste, I enjoy it highly and it is comparable to regular coffee. I also enjoy the Dan Pablo Decaffeinated Coffee that also uses the Swiss Water Process method but I slightly prefer the taste of Mayorga coffee. On a side note, customer service reached out to me with a detailed reply within one hour of receiving my message. I highly recommend this decaf coffee.

I was attracted by the low price, but it's the outstanding flavor that will bring me back to buy again. Beautiful dark roast beans, oily and aromatic, make a smooth, rich and robust cup of decaf coffee. Cuban coffee has a flavor that is distinct from other coffee, in a very good way. This one does not disappoint. Despite its dark roast character, it has no bitter finish. Smooth all the way and very satisfying. The very reasonable price is an added bonus. I expect to purchase again.

Love Mayorga coffee! I have now had both the dark roast caffeinated and dark roast decaf. It’s GREAT! And I truly believe the decaf tastes as good and as strong as the caffeinated version. it’s organic and roasted in small batches, and decaffeinated using a Swiss water process instead of chemicals.Did I mention it’s ORGANIC? 😌Live that about it. My kitchen smells like fresh road coffee all day, that’s how fresh it is.What’s not to like?!?!?!

Amazon was temporarily out of my usual Swiss-water Decaf; Don Pablo Decaf Swiss Water Process Colombian Gourmet Coffee Decaffeinated - Medium-Dark Roast - Whole Bean Coffee.So, after reading reviewer Greenecar's glowing comments on Mayorga, I gave it a try. Very disappointed. Little coffee flavor, sour, bitter, no aroma, and when I opened the bag it looked like the beans were all dried out. No oily sheen at all. Unfortunately, the cheapskate in me won't let me re-order my usual coffee until I finish this stuff. Got a month of bad coffee ahead of me. ;-)Don Pablo is by far the best. Even brewing it in a simple, inexpensive Mr. Coffee-type pot makes a very tasty cup of Joe.

After decades of drinking way too much caffeine, I had to switch to decaf for health reasons. I love a good, dark roast but rich flavor is hard to come by in decaf. After trying countless brands I'm very pleased to have found Mayorga. Even better it's organic and swiss water processed, too!

This company seems wonderful. But I don't understand why you would take really nice quality coffee (fair trade, organic, swiss water processed) and roast it until it's practically black.These beans literally taste burned; you can't even really taste the 'coffee'.I've had lovely decaf coffee and almost can't even drink this. Now I have a 2lb bag of it. :/Sorry for the harsh words. It's a shame b/c your ethics seem really solid.

Best Decaf Bean I’ve found, tastes just like the caffeinated version!! I will definitely buy this coffee again. So glad I ran across it on Amazon.
