Five stars or no stars
I was either going to give this five stars or no stars, but why not be generous? Five stars because it provides well paced, well meaning motivation to get on and do things. Shouting "Just Do It" a hundred times just doesn't work for me, or for most people I suspect. No stars because it doesn't actually tell you how to do things, apart from a discourse on SMART objectives. It is actually all talk and no action. No little checklists, daily affirmations, paper exercises, well, not enough that you will notice. But here's the thing. After reading this book, I actually knuckled down and did all the things I have been meaning to do for the past three months. So who knows. Maybe there was some sophisticated psychology going on here, maybe only you can work out what it is you have to do, and only you can do it. It worked for me, what more can I say.

A Bold New Year Resolution
As we approach the end of 2011, and the start of a New Year, most of us will get into the psychology of starting afresh, setting fresh goals, renewing promises and commitments and making New Year Resolutions. The best resolution anyone of us can make is: 'Stop Talking, Start Doing". This may sound simple but it is very profound and if applied with discipline and consistency, it will take us places. It will lead to a life of fulfillment, satisfaction and a "joie de vivre". Most of us are born procrastinators, we have this usual human tendency of putting off things, thinking that we will have plenty of time tomorrow or next week or next month or next year, and time just flies, and we never start. We get sucked into the Fear-Regret-Greater Fear- Greater Regret- Depression cycle. This is so well highlighted in Shaa's book and it is a great message, motto and reminder for action. The more we delay "doing" due to irrational fear of the "unknown" or discomfort, we accumulate regret. And regret weighs more than fear, and the burden keeps increasing the more we just talk and talk and not do and do. And when we look behind, ten years have gone by and we are still stuck.Stop Talking and Start Doing is really a kick in the Pants and the sooner you get that kick the better, you will save a lot of time, energy and more importantly regret. So if you want to make a Resolution let it be Stop Talking - Start Doing, and I promise you, when you look back in December 2012, you would be proud of yourself.Simple to read, well illustrated, well organised, very profound message.Hats off to Shaa Wasmund who has written very powerful stuff at very young age and has achieved so much. And her secret is now revealed, she "STOPPED TALKING, STARTED DOING" from very early and she keeps doing.Must buy!

Inspiring
Fun but deceptively simple ode to taking the dive, from board to water, in any life endeavor. Would love to see a bit more fleshing out regarding the movement from research and plan to action and on deciding when enough is enough.

Very Motivating!
I was inspired by this little book; the "white space" around lots of the phrases and words provided emphasis without "screaming" at you. So much of life's successes are baswed on what appears to be obvious; but the cartoons, and language take the "obvious" to a level where I could easi.ly see myself overcoming obstacles; i.e., procrastination; thinking I could actually realize my dreams. Worth the money.

This Book will stop you procrastinating and start taking action and reach and achieve your personal , professional, health and financial goals. ..easy / quick read. But does it motivate? I’m not sure.
I bought a pack of these for friends who keep talking about starting their own business, but never seem to just get on with it.My friends read it and have still not done anything..So does it work? Does it motivate? I’m not sure. But it is a easy / quick read. Some interesting facts that put some perspective on things.I would not buy it as a motivational tool for future friend projects.. I could have saved the money and bought them a few beers instead.. =)

I expected more
For the money it was a short book that I got through in a few hours. Most of the content was based on a lot of quotes and some drawings to pad it out.Knowing who Shaa was and her accomplishments I expected much more.As a motivational read it's good but doesn't offer many golden nuggets I thought might have been included from her vast experience. There are some good quick tips for reaching a goal and tips quoted from Richard Wiseman's 59seconds.It isn't a starter guide for someone wanting to go self employed or reach a goal, just tips on how you might do it and reminders that you should just do it, over and over.

I definitely need a kick in the pants!
Common sense, all of this. But commonality isn't always enough - sometimes we need somebody to be a wee bit rude to us and tell us to stop stalling and start doing (which this does). I would recommend this to everybody who is a would-be doer, a long-ago dider or a "I would put my toe in the water, but it's too cold(er)". Go on, be brave and start by reading this book...
