No more need to cram wedges alongside body, left side then right side, every two hours to ward off pressure point sores, BECAUSE this air-mattress deflates and inflates every SIX MINUTES alternating rows, so now I sleep, instead of trying with my grabber to retrieve wedges fallen to floor. Wrap the vinyl selvage ends (ample) under the foot and head of your mattress. To keep it from moving around, I place my 'fitted' sheet over it. Since I cannot roll over there's not that much movement. To keep my backside from sweating, I place 2 'rectangle'-shape potholders (Walmart fabric both sides) one under each buttock leaving a gap for my tail-bone. Since rectangle-shape potholders this leaves me the longer edge to grab and adjust each one if needed. Yes a towel would work too, but the towel wrinkles are too much for me (multiple sclerosis. skin sensitivity). Yes, pressure-point-sores are a hassel BUTT this air-mattress is god-sent gift in my life. Since it comes with a 'patch kit' I'm anticipating future fiasco, so I'm ever mindful of not stressing it through tugging or dragging my weight when getting on/off bed. FYI, there are moisture barrier creams to cut down on sweating problems, one is named "Butt Cream" lol. I use "Thera calazinc body shield" (zinc is the key ingredient), but I initially globbed it on, got all over inside my leggings, washing machine (Tide pods) didn't break it down/dissolve, into dryer left traces/film transferred from heat, had to pay someone to hard-scrub every centimeter of interior or else all future dryer items would be coated? Don't know what cleaner she used (?Windex?). Arggg, the learning curve is a hard one/won BUT I smile through it all knowing that now every six minutes my undulating air mattress has my *** covered, LOL. Check mark!

I bought this out of desperation for my bedbound mother. The visiting nurse was very concerned that she would get pressure sores/bedsores and said she had to be repeatedly "rotated" throughout the day/night. This is particularly hard as my mother would get extremely upset when rotated. She also has arthritis in both shoulders and both knees and I believe in her spine which made the "rotation" more uncomfortable for her. Concern for her long term well being made me go on a search and rescue deep dive on the internet. One of the suggestions was an "air pad" for the mattress to adjust and fluctuate to stop pressure points. I luckily found this on trusty Amazon and I am so very grateful. The pad is actually comfortable (I layed on it myself to be certain) and thankfully we have not had any pressure wounds. The motor itself is not terribly loud (mom and dad are both half deaf so they do not hear it at all) and it is not continuous. Great device that is well worth the price.

This is a true alternating air mattress topper. Too many of the “air mattresses “for bed sores do not have the appropriate number of air channels, but this topper really does help alleviate that with more zones all over your body.

Not as quiet as I hoped but comfortable.

Llegó sin ningún daño. Venía bien sellado y limpio, sin olores, pero igual lo limpié con un paño húmedo antes de usarlo. Una vez instalado comenzó a funcionar sin problemas. La bomba es muy silenciosa. Lo recomiendo.

My son was recently involved in a major car crash that left him partially paralyzed. He spent 30 days on the hospital where he had an air mattress. Before he came home, I ordered this air mattress to help prevent bed sores. My son said that it felt even better than the hospital one. He loves the alternating air pressure.

Compré este colchón recomendado por mi médico. Pero no me sirvió lo puse en 5 como se recomienda en las instrucciones y estaba tan duro que literalmente sentía que estaba durmiendo sobre piedras. Después lo puse en 3 y aunque no estaba tan duro seguía muy firme hace bastante ruido cuando uno se da vuelta y tiene un olor fuerte lo limpie 3 veces y el olor no se le va pero uno termina acostumbrándose al olor. Tube que dejar de usarlo porque amanecía con mucho dolor en el cuerpo. Mi médico me dijo que debia de sentir que estaba durmiendo en algo bien suave tan suave como aire pero no se siente así y me recomendó no usarlo más. Y lo peor es que NO SE PUEDE DEVOLVER. Así que no les recomiendo este producto. Cuando lo compré tenía muy buenos review pero a mi no me funcionó.
