MinicraftNASA Shuttle Building Kit, 1/144 Scale

This kit was the perfect size for a diorama project in 1/144 scale. Be advised: The Payload Bay doors have small hinge pins that are easily broken, the landing gear is tiny and fragile. Just a minor peeve to me is that the panel detail lines are raised lines not engraved into the surface. Makes it difficult to use a wash to add definition, age or marks. Lastly, be sure to use a FLAT white paint and matte clear top coat. It presents far better than the molded white semi gloss finish.

I bought this model for the sticker sheet which I needed to make a Nasa themed drone. These were the perfect size, thanks!

This model is very cheaply made. Near paper thin side walls, parts that have huge gaps, and it require a lot of filler between parts.

This was exactly what we needed for a school project on the shuttle; however, some of the parts didn't fit together as they should have, other parts broke easily. It is a plastic model so be aware, but it was good for our purposes

The main issue is the parts do not fit together properly. Even when trimmed many of the parts to not assemble well...Following directions the shuttles internal bulkheads once assembled prevent installation shuttle cargo doors without breaking the pins that allow them to open. As a result, we had to glue them shut. Other misalignments occur with some of the other parts...For the price, I would expected the quality to be better.

i wanted this model because it allowed you to make the enterprise version and it didn't disappoint. it's a good size and the parts fit well for the most part. paint instructions are helpful but i would have liked an image of the bottom.
