SWIPEPremium Men's 6-Blade Razor Refills (12) (No Trimmer)

I’m going to start by saying that I don’t think these blades are quite up to the high-end Gillette blades, but they’re close, perform very well, and cost way, way less. These blades offer a much better value than the high priced competitor. I get a very close shave, the blades last a long time, and they’ve got the 6th blade for shaving right under your nose. I’m happy with this product and will buy it again.

I have a Dollar Shave Club Executive handle, which DSC, for whatever reason, refuses to sell refills for in physical stores. I didn't really feel like dropping $10 for just four cartridges from Dollar Shave Club, so I bought these to save some money. Ironically, not only are they cheaper, they're better than the branded cartridges! Shaving feels smoother and closer than the genuine cartridges I got from DSC a couple years ago. If you've got an Executive handle and a Dollar Shave Club subscription, I'd urge you to check these out--they're fully compatible, look the same, and feel better than the "real deal."

Several reviews have said the SWIPE is a better razor than Gillette's Mach 5 (5-bladed) razor. I would not go quite that far - the Mach 5 is an excellent razor. Both the SWIPE 6-blade and the Mach 5 provide closer shaves than a twin-blade razor, and better than any electric razor I have used. In addition, each lasts longer than a twin-blade razor, and provides a closer shave than 3, 4, and other 5-blade razors I have tried.. From my perspective, the contest for best razor is too close to call.If the Mach 5 cartridges ever becomes less expensive than SWIPE-6's, I would switch back to Mach 5. Since Mach 5 is Gillette's premier shaving product, the one they want younger men to buy when they settle into to a job that provides ample discretionary income, I expect the price to remain high for the foreseeable future.I will gratefully be shaving with the SWIPE 6-blade razor for many years to come.Here is a tip to extend the life and get a more comfortable shave from either of these excellent razors: If you skip a day or more shaving, keep an electric razor around and use it to mow down heavy beard growth before you bring out your SWIPE-6 or Mach 5.Shaving heavy beards is tough on single- and multi-blade razors, and I have found that an electric with reasonably fresh blades pulls less on heavy facial hair. But if you don't want a 5-o'clock shadow by noon, shave again with your SWIPE 6-blade afterward.Ladies, having shaved with a women's razor a few times in a pinch, I am confident that the only difference between men's and women's razors is the packaging. You should feel free to try men's razors like this one, and not be concerned with the gender on the label, or the label anyone attaches to the razor you prefer. Happy trails!

Shaving

A few years ago, I bought the first, to my very best knowledge, 6 blade razor system which included 1 razor and a half dozen 6 blade razor blades. The mfg. was Care One. The 6 blade razors deliver the closest and smoothest shave ever! However, the replacement blades disappeared from the shelves and I had to retire my razor. Then I saw the Swipe advertisement/display on Amazon.com and jumped for joy. I ordered the biggest packge I could get which also is the best value overall. The order arrived on time and the razor and blades are top quality. They are every bit as good as my Care One and the razor is nicely weighted. It feels good in the hand while shaving and it still provides the closest and smoothest shave ever. I am very happy with my order. If you have not tried the 6 blade system, I recommend that you do. There is a marked difference between the Schick Fusion 5 blade shave and the Swipe 6 blade shave. The Fusion delivers a very good shave but I feel the difference on my face after my 6 blade shave. It is that much closer and smoother. I am spoiled and can only hope Swipe stays on the market.

I love Gillette products and always unsuccessfully searched for competitors. I purchased ceramic blades and travel shavers and they all peeled part of my skin. And they all aged rather terribly.But this one cuts smoothly front and back. The head is neatly manufactured and best of all the price is great. 4 rows of re-fill cartridges for the price of one Gillette shaver. Have stocked several places with it.The head design is primitive but robust and the blades perfectly straight. Only real critique is that the head comes off too easily. You can actually accidentally eject is when shaving fast.So for all who want to boycott Gillette for their political message - this is the way to go! While the newest Gillette shavers are still neater than this one and more robust and sophisticated - the price value of SWIPE is outstanding.

Nice smooth shave and great price

I bought this to try and was pleased with the way it shaved, even after I couldn't buy refills for a couple months, the blade kept shaving nicely. I ended up having to buy another Swipe razor just to get refills but when it came, the blades had changed. The original razor had dark gray plastic around the blades and the new one is white plastic, but the real difference is the new, white blade refills are terrible! Even with a new refill, the razor leaves a lot of stubbles, almost like a really dull blade. Don't waste your money on Swipe razors!
