As advertised. Not a great fit for a two inch drain
The product camE as advertised. I bought this for a compotite linear drain. The dimensions were not on fractions so I converted them and I knew it might be a perfect fit. Unfortunately it fit but left a small gap that I was afraid would allow hair to pass through. So if your buying this for a 2” linear drain consider looking for another hair catch.

clogs too fast
clogs too fast perhaps it works too well... soap scum plugs it as well as hair if you want to be digging out disgusting soap scum hair globs once every 2 days ish it would be a great fit for you

Size is nowhere near 2.29 in.
Advertised as 2.29 in. top diameter and 1.84 in. bottom diameter. Nothing could be further from the truth. Top diameter is only 1.5 in. Even if measured with the lifting pin this is short of 2 in. Fits in drain, but there is a gap around the entire circumference.

Easy to install, traps hair to prevent clogs. Would recommend to my friends.

Fits as specified. Does it’s job
Seems to work fine. Fits fine and does it’s job. I wish the bar were a little longer so it felt more stable but otherwise seems to work great.
