The ultimate challenge
I gave this the ultimate challenge - to deodorise and absorb moisture from my works vehicle!Years of spilt coffee, always too busy to clean and tidy. It is grim inside with an embarrassing stench. After waiting weeks for a sunny day I finally removed the charcoal bags from the plastic container and left them outdoors in sunlight for about 4 hours. You can leave them on a windowsill indoors in direct light also.Once back in the container I placed on the back seat footwell of the car. Within a few days the smell was gone. This is a great product. No need for chemical air fresheners that just mask the smell with sometimes harmful chemicals. This is natural and it works. Once the charcoal can no longer be used it can be added to the garden borders, beds, pots etc. Impressed and I won’t need to buy again for 2 years. The online pictures and description are in my opinion true to the item.

Good for odour
Odour and mould eliminator.Packaged well. Arrived in a small, nicely designed, black box.This natural odour and moisture eliminator is lilac coloured, it's a good size at 14cm X 9cm and a depth of roughly 4.5cm.This can be used in most places like, refrigerator, cupboards/closets, bathrooms etc. This can be used for up to 2 years.To begin you need to activate the charcoal in the bags. Remove them from the lilac casing. Put the bags outside in direct sunlight for at least 3 hours. If you can't put it in sunlight, leave it in the house by the window, in a none humid environment, for the same amount of time.Put the bags back in the casing after you have activated them. First use needs to be used for up to 10 days to work. This is because they are made up of a natural product.Every 30 - 45 days, reactivate the charcoal bags like you did to start and they will last up to 2 years.When the bags are completely used up. You can empty them into soil, so they're environmentally friendly.These bags are great for eliminating odour. I haven't used it long enough yet to test the mould but nothing has come back thus far.I would recommend, it's a good size, works well for odour, friendly for the environment, not a bad price either.

Totally natural
This is an old fashioned remedy made simpler and cleaner for modern age.In the box you get one large plastic box/cage which is vented inside this plastic cage there is a mesh bag of charcoal.You remove bag of charcoal and place in the sun for 3 hours to activate,not easiest in winter lol but I placed outside window on window ledge.You can leave by window or in direct light if no sun available and there are full instructions in box.Once 3hours has passed and charcoal is activated you simply place bag back in cage and place cage in fridge.The instructions say it can take a little while to notice real difference but within 4 days I’m notice a much cleaner fresher smelling fridge.I cook a lot of spiced dishes and keep chopped onions ,fish as well as strong cheeses in my fridge and although in containers the scents can and do escape in to fridge.This is a totally natural way to get rid of all them conflicting aromas.There are no chemicals used to no chance of tainting food.Every few months you simply recharge/reactivate charcoal by again placing in direct sunlight then your good to go for months more of odourless fridge.I remember my grandma having small bowls of charcoal in fridge when I was a child, sometimes the old ways are the best.Totally natural non toxic way to keep your fridge fresh.

It seems to work but it's a bit of a palaver setting it up
When I got this deodorizer out of the packaging I was hoping to just be able to bung it in the fridge straight away. Sadly, that was not the case. First of all, I had to get the plastic case open (do not do this if you have just manicured your nails!). I then discovered I need to leave the bag of charcoal outside for three hours or on a sunny windowsill for five hours. I live in a flat with no sunny windowsills (especially at this time of the year) so I left it on the windowsill all day and hoped for the best. Once I had got it set up it did seem to work fine although no better than the gel deodorizer I usually buy from Croc. You need to place the charcoal bag in the sun every month or so. According to the website, this helps kill the bacteria in it. I worry that I have nowhere sunny enough to be able to do this effectively. This deodorizer does apparently last for two years so will be great for anyone who has an outdoor space in which they can regularly rejuvenate the charcoal. I suspect that once this doesn't work any longer I will return to the gel deodorizer.

Not just for the fridge
My husband wanted this for his gym bag and I wanted it for the downstairs loo, I won. Our recently finished downstairs loo is very tiny and it still smelt of damp wallpaper and hubby was wanting to put the dehumidifier in there to dry it out but it's not good for the wallpaper to dry out too quickly so we were stuck with it. I fastened this deodorizer to the door with some Velcro sticky dots and it was only a few hours before that wet wallpaper smell was gone, we were both amazed at how quickly this worked once in there!You have to prime the charcoal pouch by sitting it in the sun or on a windowsill before use and you need to refresh it once a month in the same way. Luckily, we have a nice big south facing window so we left it there for a day or so before putting it in the case and fastening it to the door. A bit of a faff but I think it was well worth it now we have an odourless downstairs loo. It is supposed to last for 2 years and we would definitely be looking to get another one or a refill when necessary, it's really good, very impressed.
