At first glance this looked like a well made tote. The leather is stiff so I conditioned it to soften it somewhat. I was hoping that after carrying the bag a while the leather would soften. To my surprise, the leather started cracking, and the stitching started coming loose. Now the leather looks a lot like broken glass. There is no way to salvage the leather so in the garbage it goes. Will not order from this vender again. Such a waste of money after waiting close to a month for it to arrive.

This handbag arrived in pristine condition safely tucked in its dust cover. It is not the brown that is pictured in the ad but, to me, more of an English tan, which I love. I appreciate the fact this bag is handmade by artisans and it does reflect their pride of craftsmanship. The stitching on the bag was well executed, had nicely braded handles for reinforcement against failure, and all zippers were heavy duty to ensure many years of use. This bag is very roomy with a single large open compartment and has one zippered side pocket for items you readily need. It has a zippered top opening to ensure that all of the contents will not spill out during an accident. I love this feature, oh how many times have I had to pick up what I had inside my purse due to being dropped or falling over, especially in the car. The leather is rather stiff not as pliable as you may think that a purse should be but may become more supple with use, I don’t know for sure. As with all leather products, this tote/bag will require maintenance to keep it looking beautiful for years to come. You will need to follow the manufacturer’s care instructions. All in all, I think this is a great bag and I really appreciate the fact that it was hand made.

Have you ever touched cowskin that is not quite finished being cured? It's sort of hard to the touch? That's how this bag is. I'll list pros and cons.Cons: Rough, cardboard-y finished leather. Hard to the touch. Unlined. Handles not very soft.Pros: great tote size, beautiful color, vintage finish is attractive.So it's basically a great tote that might be nicer with different leather. As it is, I put stuff in it that isn't delicate so it doesn't bother me. In fact, some people might be going for the more rustic, vintage look of this kind of leather. The photo is accurate in look and shade of brown.I only took off 1 star for the roughness as I understand it's a style thing some people may like. But I prefer a more calfskin, soft touch leather.

I thought my daughter would like this but she didn't care for the color. Even with that my sister Robin will probably like it so when she comes to visit I will ask her. The bag is made well and can be carried a couple ways. It has a shoulder strap if you wish to carry like that or shorter handles to hand carry. Some may like the color and some wont so I gave it four stars.

When I first received this bag it was a little stiff. It took a few uses to really wear in the leather. After that it made it much more enjoyable to wear. It came with two wearing options and is very spacious inside. I can even fit my iPad in this bag. I’m not really a huge fan of the color. It’s more orange then I expected.
