Original Battery Cell for Apple Watch Series 1 Battery Replacement A1803 and (1st Generation) A1554, with Complete Repair Tool kit, Adhesive Strip(42mm)

Old Iwatch battery was swollen and dead. I partially removed the face and installed the new battery per Youtube instructions. The hard part is installing the new gasket. It’s brown side down on the watch body, but on my 42 mm watch, there are two little bumps on the body which must line up with the indentations on the gasket. The gasket itself is a thin, sticky membrane. The watch face sealed well. The battery works well, but I first got the green snake of death, which went away after 20 minutes. It fully charged in about 4 hours and the watch fully functions.

The first battery was dead on arrival at 14% and it would not recharge. I sent an email to the seller and received another kit in two days.That one worked great. Even though it was easy to install, with the practice of the first one I made no mistakes on the second install

This battery very plausibly comes from the very same factory that manufactured the parts Apple used to build original 2015 Apple Watches, since the replacement battery I received has markings indicating that it was made way back in July 2015!Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries are known to have a limited shelf life of between 2-4 years, so by even attempting to use this badly outdated part to attempt repair of your Apple Watch battery you are basically demonstrating the triumph of optimism over reason. Many other Amazon reviews of this product mention receiving batteries that were either totally DOA or had very poor performance after installation, as should be expected after installing a replacement part as old or older than the battery that originally came in the watch.I'm sending this kit back unused for a refund and will locate a newer & fresher part from some other source.

I have never done anything like this before and I did it successfully and it works! My battery was just old (series 1) and didn’t hold a long charge.*disclaimer: at the time of this review, I had just done the “operation” the night before.I am giving this 4 stars based on the fact that the battery actually worked. I knocked a star off because the tools could be better.A few things:- First, there are NO instructions with this pack. I used YouTube. I cannot attach the videos I used, but will try to give you as much info as I can so you can find them.- Second, all of the YouTube videos I saw use a heating element to loosen the adhesive to help get the screen off. I used a hot water bottle and laid it on the watch for a few minutes. I DID use a hairdryer twice prior to, so I don’t know if that helped, but it worked after the hot water bottle.- Third, the tweezers in this package are almost totally useless. They are flimsy plastic. I would be sure to go out and get some fine pointed and metal tweezers.- Fourth, a lot of YouTube videos say you should use a curved blade instead of a straight blade (which is what is given in this package). I was able to successfully use the straight blade (I had my own more sturdy exact-o knife, which I suggest you get), you just have to be careful not to slice anything inside.*IF YOU GET THE “GREEN SNAKE OF DEATH” after installation, don’t freak out! I found a video and I followed it and it fixed it. I will attach that video as well.Videos:This video was great with all of the steps and what I used. There are not good instructions with the product. I damaged a connection because I did not know the proper way to disconnect the screen. I later found good instructions on YouTube, but i had already inadvertently caused the damage within the screen connection by trying to pry it open the wrong way. I would recommend watching several different videos on battery replacement before trying it on your own.

Difficult to install, but works. New battery saved me a ton of money. My watch is a series one, sport.Changing the battery on your Apple Watch takes a lot of patience and time. If you do not have either of those, pay to have it done. That said, this was a great deal.I took the advice of another reviewer, and watched a bunch of online videos on how to replace the battery, prior to attempting it. DO THAT!! If not, you will destroy your watch.My battery was good, and fit easily into place. They gave one more adhesive for the watch than I needed. So, if I made a mistake on the first one, I had a back up.It took me about two hours total, with watching videos. And, I definitely thought I needed a drink when I finished.**Warning: The tools that they give you to do the battery change, are NOT the tools that they recommend in their video. Matter of fact, one of the tools they supply is a non-curved knife. Their video specifically recommends against any knife that is not curved, because you could damage the cables inside your watch. (I used the non-curved knife, but you have to be twice as careful. ) Look at the videos, and make sure you have available the tools they actually using them.**You can see in the pictures the change in my battery life for my watch. Prior to the battery change, I was getting about 3 to 5 hours.
