Arguably better in many ways than standard issue for Military / Law Enforcement.
The media could not be loaded. I have been in state-level law enforcement for over thirteen years, including several with a full-time tactical unit. Standard issue green NVG's such as the PVS-14 are commonplace, and their shortcomings are a regular nuisance and subsequent talking point among my coworkers. While this particular unit might not be ready just yet for tactical work, it's an absolute home run for civilian consumers. It has a myriad of strengths that should not be overlooked in any way, and it literally costs SEVERAL THOUSANDS DOLLARS less than the stuff that has soldiers and SWAT cops stepping into potholes on a nightly basis.Pros:First off, the package aspect of the GlassOwl is phenomenal. As mentioned in the description, it comes with a quality case and several thoughtful accessories. Mine came with a very worthwhile referral bonus, which several people immediately took advantage of after seeing my unit.Second, the sturdiness and design lend to great dexterity. I'm not going to throw mine against a brick wall or hold it under water anytime soon, but it really does feel like I could without dire consequences. The access panel to the memory card and accessory hookups is fitted in such a way that it seals so as to prevent moisture and debris from getting into sensitive areas. The unit is hefty, and looks and feels like a much more expensive piece of equipment than what it is. Each button is placed under a thick rubber housing that give a clear response under firm touch, but without an unnecessary audible click or tone.Third, the IR illuminator is superior to a $500 name-brand vampire light I have mounted on a weapon. In the video of this review, the vehicle displayed is about 250 yards away in pitch black conditions on a starless night. Which brings me to...Fourth, the image quality and ease of focus. One of the shortcomings of traditional night vision is an absolute reliance on seeing things that are either very close, or very far away. This routinely leads to walking into stuff or stumbling on uneven footing when focused far away, or missing something important when focused close in. The GlassOwl does have a focus feature that will clean the image up, but even when set at the nearest or farthest setting the sacrifice to the opposite isn't nearly as extreme as with older green NVG's.If I have a constructive criticism, it's that the display is pretty bright and cannot be dimmed down, and the design doesn't really lend itself to any sort of head mount. I have heard from Creative XP's fantastic customer service team that they have solutions to both of these in the works. In summary, it's a fantastic item worth twice what it costs - and offered by a company you will love doing business with. Buy it!

Great bino's for the money
Really enjoy using these at night. Keeps me abreast of all the critters and humans running around here. Deer, bear, mice, homeless.... I can see them all. Basic and easy to use. The zoom function is nice as well as adjustable IR brightness. I initially had an issue with the SD card not working. It's the card. One call to the US based customer service and it was rectified. Nice case, nice strap. All the cables you need. I've used them on and off a few nights and the batteries are still plenty strong. I'll probably wind up replacing the alkaline's with rechargeable ones. With the quality of these bino's exceeding my expectation and the customer service being as good as it is I won't hesitate in buying other Creative XP products in the future.

Great Device(vrap company Retailer) Just That White Death Screen
The media could not be loaded. I love this night vision binocular. Thank you Creative XP people!!This device is nicely priced, easy to use and fun fun fun!!But I do still have the white screen of death issue showing up all the time. Below is a review I left a while back and I want to leave it because of the details I have in it. I forgot I wrote that. And I hope the company has responded to my issues because I never checked but I will go now and see if it is there. Maybe you have told me why it does that already. Be back. Oh I added a video and it does not do it all the time, give the white screen but 80% or more it does it.((After only having it a short while the infra red quit. I was looking up to the stars and saw a round ufo like thing that just hung up there and had some flashing going. After I located it on the binoculars, I watched it for just a few seconds and the device would go white and then turn off. I turned it back on and looked up at this object again and the screen went white 1st and shut down again. One last time I decided to attempt to view the object, (not believing this thing could possibly be doing this to the binocular) the screen again went white - Shut Down and has never been able to work again. Every time I turn it on at night and hit the Infra Red button that same white screen immediately shows. I get no chance to see anything it is just broken some how. I was very gentle working this binocular and it upsets me that this happen after only several months of very little usage. I want to buy another but not understanding why this thing broke leaves me thinking twice about ordering another one.))Can these be fixed? I will contact the makers of it and maybe they can fix it or send me another maybe. I did not abuse it and did not stare at some bright light so it seems to me it is a device manufactured defect.I will try to take a picture of it to show how well it has been handled.(another update) Feb 8,24. Several months back I finally got an answer for what was wrong. Ah shoot the article is moved or gone. But there is some thing inside the eye piece(s) that I think is glass and it is what I read in great detail that is broken and the re is No Fix. It's junk. This pissed me off because I have had this issue from very early upon getting it. I always felt like it had been a recycled item. I was not the 1st owner and whoever Returned it. Now they sold it to me. My 1st writing of this shows how desperate I was to find a reason for what was going on.Buyer Beware. This countries product quality as a whole has gone to pot! Everywhere from everyone is broken or junk.Greed.
