I've only had the knife for a few days now but I really love it! The blade came sharper than any of my other 6 Benchmade knives that I own.The locking mechanism takes a little getting use to because my other BM are all axis locks. It has a very fast assist , very strong spring in it, and it locks up really strong too, but I still like the good old axis lock better. The action is very similar to the Barrage, but to close it, you don't have to pull back on the lock, just push one or both of the lock buttons. I love the overall size and shape of the handle. Here is the handle and blade specs because all the people on You Tube that review knives never give the thickness or width, just length, and it's hard to tell how thick or wide the knife is just from pictures. The blade is 1.25" at it's widest point, 3.6" long. The handle is also 1.25 " wide and is .60" thick but tapers down a little toward the butt of the knife and is 4.8" long. My only complaint would have to be that the G10 handles are very smooth, not a lot of grip, so the knife could use a little more jimping in different spots to make up for that. Very nice knife and good American Benchmade quality through out.

I love Benchmade, but my knife was defective.
I wanted to love this knife after reading the other reviews, but it fell short. It's beautifully made, but the handle is VERY slick/slippery. I would have kept the knife and done a bit of stippling to the handle, but the blade lock buttons were defective. To clarify, the right button would engage relatively easy, but the left button would not, it was very difficult to push and worked intermittently. It required pushing both buttons very hard to disengage the lock. Did I mention the handle is slick? I opted for a different model.

I have been using this knife since December 2015 as my EDC. I work as an HVAC technician and use it almost every day. It came sharp yet I worked the edge to be razor shaving sharp. It has been honed and stropped. It holds its edge and the handle has a nice design. It is my first pocket knife with a G10 handle. This knife fits perfectly in my pocket. I expect this knife will provide me with many years of service.Update 8/20/16 this knife has me all my expectations and can take the beating I have thrown on it. It is easy to resharpen I am still happy with my knife.

Benchmade is awsome!
Didn't care if it was the first 1000 produced, not liking the text on the blade stating it's production number 463 printed on blade. Great knife, similar in weight to my code 4 cold steel. Love the knife, sharp... very share.... did i say sharp.Great knife, I would get another one.

Yeah Benchmade knives are nice but are too expensive. Ya think , wow i spent a lot so it's got to be great' , yes and no. Yes they are built nice in USA , no they cost too much . Yeah you spend what you want but equal quality can be had in a Buck knife also made in the USA for a lot less. Other brands also are good. It's like Seiko or Rolex. both great, one is way overpriced. I know, not the best comparison but you get the drift. Anyway i bought one , i like it overall but the blade release buttons on both sides of the handle are sometimes hard to depress fully to fold the blade back into place. The main reason i got it was because the handle color is like what i like on my Kimber 1911 pistol. Good reason don't you think?
