When Worlds Collide Space Ark (Assembled) 1/350 Pegasus

I Love this model. It's pre-finished much better than my modeling skills could produce from a static model. This being from one of my favorite movies, I"m really glad to have had a chance to acquire this. I hope Pegasus continues to prodice ,pre ocpmoc [re=fomosjed ,pdedels.

I saw the movie "When Worlds Collide" before I read the book. The book was better, but I was amazed as a young boy watching this flick in the theater. I have remained interested in scifi and thought the SyFy Channel would be a dream come true. As far as I know, they never showed this movie or any of my other classic favorites on their silly network. This movie is being remade for 2012 release and I will see it too on the big screen. The model itself is very flimsy but I do not intend to play with it anyway. I just enjoy having things around me that make me feel good when I look at them. This is one such item. Thanks to those involved in making this product. The only way they could have improved it would be to have removable panels to show the interior construction, but then it would have cost a lot more. I think there is a plastic model that includes this feature, but I am too old to do justice to a project like this. This is way overpriced. It is cheap muck. I have purchased nice prepmade models from mobeous and others but this is quite poor. The base where the ground and foliage is painted on is made out of the cheap plastic (if you could call it that) that the old Halloween masks your mom would buy you when you were a kid that would not last more than a day but still could cut your chin or neck and around your eyes. Light shines through it and does not fit flat on a glass shelf or any flat surface (Think of your halloween mask sitting on your table, not all the edges would touch the surfast. The tracks have no detail at all and slide in to the cheap plastic base (which also seem to make it not sit flat. The model itself is not too bad but on the bottom you can see where the unit was attached the the plastic rails that all models use. They did not sand it down it has a huge bump and because the piece is chromed instead of painted it looks bad. I was going to stand it up but because of the underbelly that is not an option. It is not a good display piece for and adult, it is not a child's toy. Knowing what I know about it now and having seen it I would not waste my money or recommend it to anyone. But if you are old and cannot make models yourself, then this model may have value to remind you of the old days and the movie, I would pay $10 for a gift for someone that would want one. Not a penny more. It is going back to that cheap plastic factory in the sky.

I loved this sci fi movie and watched it numerous times on TV as a child. The Space Ark model is a great looking replica and lots of fun to show off to my family and friends who love it too.

Realistic model from the movie.

This is a good looking display model that simply and accurately represents the movie. The ship is extremely light weight and not durable. As a play toy it would easily break, but as a display model it is fine. It's light weight would allow for many different mounting or display options. The only negative was that the internal formed plastic pieces do not properly secure the ship and it was displaced inside the box when received. However it's light weight kept it from sustaining any damage. I am very pleased and plan on doing a diorama. If you prefer, there is an unassembled identical model available.

I have the kit version of this but have not had the time to assemble it. This version is really nice right out of the box.
