Bought the phone having seen/used my wife's sisters Artphone when she was visiting over Xmas. Bearing in mind this is sold as a product for the aged the user instructions were extremely limited. For example they do not explain how to set the phone up or how to send/receive a text . They assume that the potential user has had considerable experience in using electronic devices - which the average aged person has not. In the end I wrote out my own user instructions for my wife/sister in law. Once the phone is set up and instructions available it is a useful phone for the aged. Having said that one of the phones developed a software fault so the charging lights did not work and neither did the text key.

I purchased this for my 93 years old mum, after setting it up for her (more on that below) she finds it very easy to use and especially likes the M1/M2 and SOS buttons.The SOS function is turned off by default, which is rather odd as this is one of the features that she likes about it and I suspect it's one of the reasons some people have purchased this model.To turn it on, go to:Settings / Call Settings / Block Function / SOS SettingsChange the SOS setting to 'OFF' which unblocks the SOS function (there must be some kind of logic there, but I don't see it!!!!)It is now possible to scroll through the various settings page to access the SOS settings:The status is now ON (from memory, I think that's right, if not turn it on)Then add the SOS numbers either from the phonebook or add manually.Great little phone that's let down by a poor instruction booklet, as is virtually everything these days.

I've just returned this phone as it was unable to be used.I bought it for my mother as it had everything she wanted, plus it was unlocked and sim free, meaning she could keep her number. Unfortunately it doesn't work with her GiffGaff sim card even though the description said it would. An error comes up saying it's invalid. It also doesn't come with a USB plug just the cable. Luckily I was able to give her one of my plugs, so just be aware that you may have to buy one!It did look easy enough to use though.

Have set this phone up for my husband, the instructions are not clear for somebody who is not used to mobile phones. Also no wall plug to charge the phone, if this was your first phone you would have no way of charging.

Purchased for a elderly friend who manages a more simple phone like this great.

device has a massive flaw!You would expect that a phone with a clamshell design would not make calls when it is closed. However this phone allows buttons to be pressed when it is in your trouser pocket.If you hold the phone and give it a light squeeze you can hear buttons being pressed this is unacceptable.My dad has made numerous calls to people in his phone book and as a pensioner is stressed that he is doing something wrong.Kinda the exact opposite result we were hoping in reducing his stress have to use a mobile phone.I only see him once a month and I now see that I can’t send the phone back as it is outside the returns period.He has wasted his limited pension on a device not fit for purpose.

Excellent It’s a PHONE !!!!! And guess what it WORKS Perfectly. It’s not a SUPER COMPUTER, although it has great other features !!!DUAL SIM + 32GB MICRO SIM. etc. Its UNLOCKED 2G. SO FAR NOT DROPPED A SINGLE WORD. I have put an O2 SIM in Slot 1. No need even to cut the SIM Into MICRO or NANO. ARRIVED 2 days early. £36.00 or less My walls are Super thick in the house. WOW
