Works for me
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This stuff did an excellent job deadening the sound in the doors of my Camry. I probably applied more than what's recommended because I tried to cover every square inch of the door skin that I could access. Check the video to see the difference between the front door and the rear door. Now I want to get more and do the rest of the Camry and even my truck. I also purchased this set of rollers to help with the install. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TV19PQF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 In hindsight I would have only purchased the medium and small rollers since the large one is too wide and heavy and I never used it.

Quality sound deadener!
For $35 for 24sq ft this is a steal! Equal to the brands that have been around on amazon for awhile and does the exact same thing. 24sqft was enough to cover all 4 doors on my 2018 Tacoma TRD Off road with double cab. Took maybe an hour a door taking my sweet time cutting pieces and placing them and then using a roller to make sure it's all pressed on. Make sure you rub down the doors with rubbing alcohol first too! Even though my truck is 8 months old there was a good bit of a grime on the metal inside the doors!

Not Butyl, but OK deal
This is very much asphalt and smells like it. It will work for my wheel wells and exterior applications I was targeting, but the smell will be too strong in the south when it gets too hot in the summer.

seems good as any
I havent really used any other brand, but this stuff worked great (so far)I put it on my trunk lid, and it really deadened the sound, and gives it that satisfying solid thunk when closing it.It stuck just fine--it was cold out, so i heated it up with heat gun and stuck it on.--then rolled it out with rolleronce i get to replacing the door speakers, this stuff will be in there too and around speakersI would like to doo the floor/inside firewall, but that might be a job bigger than i want to tackle-- we shal seeI did not notice any smell to this matting during install

Off gassing, well stinks.
Opening the box I got hit with the smell of asphalt/tar & who knows what they put in these things. I purchased because it claimed to be Butyl, and it may be but it's also asphalt or something that when it heats up it will make any car or interior smell like the chemicals. I returned it.

Really great stuff.👍👍
How I wish I had a video. You'd be able to hear the difference. But I guess pictures ought to do. I applied this on a 2016 Ford fiesta st all doors and the difference is quite impressive. Mat 66 really delivers and it's very manageable and easy to cut to shape. This job is not easy by any means but the money you save on the product plus installation is huge. Mat 66 is really affordable for just about anybody on a diy quest for a better sounding system and anyone who owns this car knows exactly what I'm talking about. It's literally a tin can cause ford wanted to keep it light and they succeeded at it. Of course at the cost of good sound quality. It does not smell one bit it is butyl based and works as well or even better than the top brands that cost an arm and a leg. Then again that's just my take. If you plan on something similar I highly recommend mat 66 80mil. You can't beat it for the price. No BS... AND I am in no way shape or form affiliated or associated with them I bought 2 24sqft packs and am very impressed. By the way it takes 9 sheets for 1 front door and about 6.5 1 rear. But I went overkill. You could easily do all doors with one pack or less. Well thanks and hope this is helpful to anyone who's looking to take on something like this 👍✌

Great product, easy to handle and pricing beats other top named brands!
Great pricing for this sound deadening product. These came as individual precut sheets, making it easier to handle and install through speaker openings in my vehicles doors. I applied them to the inner portion of the door trim panels to prevent rattles from stereo and basic road noises. My Dodge Nitro is a 2007 model with the Infinity sound system. I replaced the factory MyGig Head Unit with a KENWOOD multimedia unit which has provided more sound quality thru the oem Infinity speakers. The factory door woofers have always provided great low end thump, the KENWOOD actually boosts the input signal to the speakers, thereby boosting the lower freqs to them. The single, 6 x 6 inch factory installed piece of sound deadening material was not enough to properly cut road noise and rattles from the outer door skin. Thus I applied several more cut to fit, MAT 66 pieces to quiet the road noise and rattles to achieve my goal ! I highly recommend this kit, it will net you the same results as the higher priced Dyna or Stinger products.

Great product for a great price. I wouldn’t do it again.
A very quality cheap alternative to Noico or others. This is the most bang for your buck sound deadening material. 80mil!! Vs what you would pay for, for 50mil of another name brand. It is quality stuff for sure and you seriously can’t beat the price.. 4 stars only because I would never sound deaden with this type of material ever again. I would use paint, something like SR-500. It will cost twice as much but this material in general will take you an inordinate amount of time to install and it is back, hand, joint, and spirit breaking work!! I spent 100hrs easily that was not worth it. It will be tough enough to remove all your seats and paneling and clean everything thing, let alone having to deal with sizing, cutting, and putting this material in place. It must be affixed completely to the surface and you have to roll it on using a lot of force. This stuff does nothing for sound proofing it only addresses sound originating from vibration and reverberation of the sheetmetal. You really do not have to cover every square inch of the bare metal of your car but you tend to want to with this material so that your car looks complete. Actual soundproofing material, is what you want to use to cover as much area of the vehicle as possible. Sound deadening paint + soundproofing closed celL foam would be the best combination overall with “give and takes” considered.
