EGO Power+CTA9500 9.5-inch Cultivator Attachment for EGO 56-Volt Lithium-ion Multi Head System

The EGO cultivator is a great garden tool. An amazing amount of tilling power. There are a couple of concern items before you purchase one. 1) It's a bit heavy so you must be willing to deal with working the tool with one hand instead of handle bars like a Mantis or equivalent. 2) If you have rocky ground, it's not the thing for you; it works to penetrate but stones cause it to bounce a lot - hard on the machine and difficult to control. However, in nice soil, this is great tool to work with.

I had been eyeing the cultivator attachment for a long time but the price kept me putting it off. Finally bought it to use when putting in a new garden patch. Wow! I was skeptical it would not have enough power or wouldn't last long on the battery. I was wrong. It is a little heavy and you have to pull it towards you (opposite direction of where it wants to go) when cultivating for it to dig in, so expect a little work-out even in soft soils. My yard varies from a mix of light clay and soft topsoil and it was easily tilling down 2 to 3" deep on one pass. On the soft soil it goes deep and makes nice berms on either side. The battery lasts a long time, longer than when I am running the weed-eater attachment, which shocked me. It will kick back on tree roots and rocks larger than a small egg. This is a must have if you have a garden or beds. Saved a ton of time and energy I would have spent with a hoe, pick and shovel.

I was dubious about this tiller attachment but was very pleasantly surprised. Works very well and plenty of power. I purchased to do some flower beds and to work up some areas we wanted to put in shrubbery. I used a larger battery and my Ego shoulder strap to help balance the weight. In a large garden this attachment may be more useful for weeding rows etc than for tilling a larger plot.

We purchased the cultivator attachment to till up the soil in my wife's garden beds. The soil here is very dense clay and this attachment has no trouble turning soil that has settled into clay into loose power. The attachment, power head, and battery make for a hefty combination, but that's probably what's needed to help the cultivator do it job. I used it to take a few inches of clay soil off of a high spot in our yard, and it only took a minute or so of use to do the trick.

I was very skeptical, I live in central OK and I have rock hard red clay for soil. I didn’t actually buy it for my house, but for my mom’s house with more conventional soil. That being said I decided to try it at my house, I was amazed, it’s very powerful, incredible torque. And it lasted over 40 mins and still had half a charge, I’m sure the power drain isn’t linear but it still had a lot of time left. I would highly recommend this, it’s perfect for gardens!!! I’m actually shocked at the power, can’t say that enough.

The cost is somewhat high for the tiller attachment. I suspect we are paying for the engineering and uniqueness of the product. Battery life is amazing! I did my flower beds all around the house, the side yard pine grove bedding, the neighbors backyard island that's over 80' long, and a few other places the battery lost only three green light ticks of charging! The unit is very compact and easy to clean. Stores in a small space. Amazing!I find it interesting that the entire device is run by a small drive pin that fits into the handle. Great design!It is a little heavy and awkward but after using it for a 1/2 day I found it to be quite easy to maneuver especially around tight areas and behind shrubs. My gas tiller is long gone. No more gas, oil, spark plugs, pollution, loud noise, that all comes with gas powered equipment. I'll never go back to gas!

Bought this for our garden it does quick work on weeds and am able to get into tighter spots than my big tiller. It is heavy but works very well to mix compost as well and easy to use

Bought this to till our raised beds. I'm getting older, and the wife has increased the number of raised beds. So hand turning the soil is getting tiring. I used with the 5.0Ah battery from our EGO lawnmower and this makes it a bit heavy. I would like to try with the 2.5Ah battery next time. This is easy to lift into our raised beds where even a small traditional tiller couldn't fit. It easily churned through the soil and made quick work of the task. Plenty of power! It used 1 power bar on the 5.0Ah battery, so plenty of juice if more work was required. Highly recommended.

Works well. The tiller is powerful and just heavy enough to use on a gravel driveway. I use it instead of spraying chemicals to control weeds in the driveway.
