Have you noticed how so many items come in a plastic bag with a movable bar to tightly close the bag? And have you noticed that cereals bags still have the same, once-opened you need a clamp to to close them? This makes no sense whatsoever. This is why I find this Buddeez plastic cereal box indispensable. It makes more sense to keep breakfast cereal in one of these. Also it's easier to pour into a bowl. That being said, I especially like this particular one. It is about the size of most cereal boxes so I can store it the same place, and I get a good grip on it. Plus it is made in the USA, a notable feature. There's a customer service number on a business card you'll find in the container. A wise choice.

I purchased this container to store breakfast cereal. I was happy with my purchase until about the 5th time I used it. One side of the hinge popped out and now will not go back in properly. It is still usable for now, but I doubt it will last very long.UPDATE: A few weeks after leaving my original review, the company proactively reached out to me with an offer to replace my defective item. I truly appreciated their efforts. Since they demonstrated their commitment to stand behind their product, I changed my rating from '2' to '5'. I would not hesitate to order from them in the future. ( By the way, the company never asked me to change my rating.)

Love finding an 8 quart container heavy duty enough for dry dog food. Only wish it had a handle instead of being shaped for a hand grip. But just being able to find one that is well made at a decent price is awesome!

Purchased for bird food storage. Price includes 2, that was lower than others for just 1. Like the easy open/pour design as opposed to ones with measuring cup on top. Also ordered set of 3 standard cereal size for comparison. Wouldn’t recommend smaller size for cereal at all as size not large enough for most boxed cereals. Kept to use for small bag of seed and perhaps pastas.

I've now gotten one of these that just has the indentation for your hand and 5 of the kind that have an actual plastic handled built into the container.This one, with just an indenation, slips when the container is full, and has made some messes for me. It's also just not as satisfying to grab off the shelf as the ones with a real handle.That said, it has no other issues, and the spout and airtight nature of the product are the same as the other kind of plastic storage spouted containers.
