Consistency in tortillas
Love the color and flavour of the resulting tortillas. For some reason I find the consistency of the tortilllas to be better than the standard yellow masa

Great taste and consistency
Excellent for corn tortillas or corn bread. Not too smooth leaving enough coarseness for added texture. Has that nuttiness you expect from blue corn.

Blue Corn - Purple Tortillas
This is hard to find where I live. My grand daughter and I like to cook together and she wanted to try to make some tortillas. We got this and had a great time making tortillas for taco night. This makes blue dough but as soon as it is cooked it turns purple. They are very good tasting. Also, makes great chips.

Fantastic blue tortillas
It is my 1st time buying blue corn masa, and it did not disappoint !Bought a couple of packages, and they have produced some delicious tortillas.Price is on the high side, but depending on where you live, this variety of masa can be hard to find.Highly recommended

Expiration date was 2 months from receiving, poor quality.
Where I live, I'm only able to get masa azul online. I ordered this brand a while back (from Amazon). It was hard to tell if it's because the brand itself is of poor quality or if it's because the seller sent me 2 bags that were expiring within 2 months after having received them. I rarely write bad reviews, but either it was bad business practice to sell near expiration date items or the brand is just of poor quality. Now I just buy directly from a different website/company and pay even cheaper to get fresh made, high quality, and better packaged (which makes better shelf life) masa. I'd highly recommend shopping somewhere else if you're looking for masa azul.

Doesn't cook the same as yellow corn Maseca
I am not sure why, but the yellow corn maseca is a slightly different texture. I use maseca to make tortillas, and the yellow corn tortillas were a hit, but the blue corn tortillas cooked slightly different. They didn't turn out as soft, and did not want to bubble up like the yellow ones typically do.
