Brilliant composter
Was a little bit of a faff to build but I have been using this for 6 months now and it’s been great. Composts well and perfect for keeping rats at bay. Does leak a little but I put a tray underneath and use any leakage to feed to my plants.

Fantastic!
It was a little tricky to assemble with about 56 screws and bolts (I’m no DIY expert to be fair, use a screwdriver and think about the order you are putting the panels in, made it harder on myself putting them in in a random order - oops) but once assembled it looks the part and turns nicely. Time will tell if it keeps the rodents away (the reason why I bought this!) My husband did say it looked like I was building the Death Star but looks a bit more like a wingless tie fighter (it’s not massively big), so I’d tuck it away somewhere less obvious.

Very impressed
Very impressed by the quality of this product. I’ve only just put together so can’t comment on the composting yet but wanted to let you know that it’s pretty easy to put together (you’ll need a Philips screwdriver for the main body and a 10mm socket/spanner/pliers to connect to the frame). It feels nice and sturdy. It spins freely when empty but can’t comment on when it’s full but it has grips for turning so should be fine. After a lot of research this was the one I chose as other tumblers seem to have an issue with turning when full. Overall very pleased but will have to wait and see what the compost comes out like.

As described
Feels very solid now it’s constructed, assembly instructions aren’t the best but eventually made sense! Feels rock solid. It misses having a brake to keep it in place when opening the sliding hatches as they ideally need to be at the top and also doesn’t look the easiest to get the compost out as the opening aren’t that big. Overall I’d recommend but with the caveat it could be difficult to get the compost out. Mines coming along nicely especially now I’ve added about 2000 red worms to help it along! Lots of rich looking material now 👍

Poor design
The composter is quite large and does work... however there are severe drawbacks. It is incredibly difficult to put together. The process is very fiddly and time consuming.Once set up, it seems to work well and is easy enough to turn - until it begins getting filled up.We've experienced severe problems with the metal screws holding each panel in place - they simply started snapping off over time due to the ever increasing weight of material inside. It's gotten so bad that two of the panels opened up, spilling a lot of the compost onto the floor. We had to resort to using large amounts of gaffer tape to hold it together.I wouldn't buy it again as it's way more hassle than it's worth.

Exactly what I was looking for
I feel that many similar products to this are very overpriced. Yes, I could have got a simple composter and then gone and turned the whole heap over regularly, but realistically I would never have got round to it enough in cold and wet weather. This one is so simple, and as it's above ground, I don't need to worry about rats etc.I am a complete DIY novice, but found it very straightforward to put together. Time-consuming = yes, because the numerous screws are small and fiddly, but not difficult. It took me probably the best part of two hours, but it feels sturdy and robust, and definitely worth it.

Rotating garden outdoor composter
I’ve already got one of these and love that I can make my own compost for the garden. I wanted another one as have plenty to fill them with. I chose a compost bin like this so it was off the ground so I didn’t have any issues of attracting rats, which I haven’t.
