Porcupine Quills - Natural - 1 oz

I’ve used porcupine quills in my fly tying for decades. These are top quality quills. Very little hair, excellent quality, no order, I highly recommend them!

Quils were in a Paper bag inside a box, very clean, no dirt, very little hair.

The quills came in a paper bag in a box. There was a lot, and I mean A LOT of dirt with the quills. After washing them, they did clean up a bit, but many are not usable for crafts. I am a beginner to quillwork (very experienced with seed beads) and feel like these will be helpful as a beginner, but not as an experienced craftsmen concerning quillwork. For quality quills, I will order through their actual store once I get the knack of quillwork. Overall, not what I was expecting.

They were small sized, just what I needed.

The minute you opened the box you could smell them. They were dirty and loads of hair included. They offered a refund, but I asked why would it say virtually no hair!!! They said they would need to change that because theirs have hair mixed in. They still have not fixed the description!!! I bought these for $22/oz free shipping. Most quills are small and thinner than a #12 beading needle!!!!!

The quills are all different sizes especially small not a terrible problem but informing future buyers. Its states there is minimal hair and they have been washed. There is hair everywhere and they are dirty. I have actually had a chance to work with real live porcupine in Maine. This product is disgusting. I will not buy again.

The media could not be loaded.  Received my package of quills and the first thing I noticed was the rancid smell. After opening them to pour them into a plastic container (from a paper bag) I found... Bugs.. lots of bugs. I don't know what kind... But they are still crawling ... Not ok
