The bags were fairly thick and the hand pump surprisingly easy to use. In the loft it would have been impossible to use the vacuum ( which also worked very quickly!) and the hand pump was very useful. Even with my arthritic shoulder I managed to get the air out. The snag with filling the bags downstairs and using the vacuum cleaner was that the flat bags still weight the same and that would have been difficult to get up the loft ladders. This way I could get in the loft and put the stuff (spare duvet, summer clothes, curtains etc.) straight into the bags , empty the air and pack away in previously bought fabric bags. I initially bought big fabric storage bags which were great but as is the way of these things began to run short of space as I have a lot of fleece being a keen spinner. These vacuum bags solved the problem perfectly and they coped with large things like the summer duvet and spare curtains as well as my fleece. Now ll I need to do is get spinning and use some of the stuff in the loft!

I bought these due to traveling overseas and moving countries. Needing to arrange more space in my luggage as the items does promise. However, this ended up in me being frustrated with the item and packing process. The bags kept airing up right after having vacuumed the bags. After many tries of packing differently, folding the items, rolling them, as well as placing only two items in the bags as trial if maybe it would be my fault and I am overloading. However, ever single time they kept airing up again. Bags were properly sealed and the plug properly plugged in and sealed with the cover too. Even the bags which were a bit more hopeful were full with air after a couple of hours. There were no holes in the bags. So this definitely has been a WASTE OF MONEY and caused GREAT FRUSTRATION, especially as it procrastinated my whole packing due to several unsuccessful trials of packing.Very disappointing! Would not recommend to buy these. :-(

I love the fact that this product has different size bags - most other listings have just one size. The jumbo bag held my 13.5 tog duvet and was compressed in a minute using my vacuum. I've used one of the large size bags to store and compress - 2 duvet covers + 2 fitted sheets + 4 pairs of pillowcases + two mats + a few other items...so more than enough space for anyone who is moving and has a lot of bedding to pack. (I've not tried the hand pump except to remove excess air after using the vacuum)

Great choice of sizes. Works well with both the vacuum and the included pump. My yarn cakes didn't vacuum much smaller as they are already tightly wound but the normal balls of yarn reduced down much smaller. The large box of toy stuffing that I use occasionally was taking up an annoyingly big area under my desk and is now packed into a large plastic tub along with the yarn that previously filled two of the tubs. Such a great space saving idea. I'm very pleased.

Bought this for camping. Packed clothes down really well and the little hand pump is ideal for removing the air! Only issue is the bags arent too robust if banged about.

I had an issue with Damp in one of my wardrobes due to being on an outside wall, and many of my clothes ended up smelling musty and horrible, since I have remedied the damp issue however to prevent clothes and bed linen which are not always used from taking up a large amount of space and possibly picking up future musty damp odours, these bags are perfect, the halved the amount of space the articles took up which has freed up more space for New clothes!

Ideal vacuum storage bags. Have purchased others but these are a lot better, ideal for storing bedding, clothes and other material things that space is of the essence. Bags come with a pump but found it quicker to use a vacuum cleaner. We stored duvets, sheets etc in a space that we could only store a couple of things. A must for people with limited space.

I used this item. IT worked well at first and the items stayed vacuum sealed for about a month, probably even less but lets round up here for arguments sake.I don't understand why they keep letting air back in. This is the second time I have resealed them and vacuumed all of the air out and still, a month later, the air comes back in. I notice it because it pushes the wardrobe open where they are being stored. Really strange to offer vacuum sealable storage bags when they stop being vacuum sealed after a month. Who would want to keep having to seal them up again?Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this product. It causes too much hassle.
