CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser | Moisturizing Non-Foaming Face Wash with Hyaluronic Acid, Ceramides & Glycerin | 16 Fluid Ounce

I was kind of hesitant at first because the texture is like lotion, but don’t let it fool you! It’s such a great face wash! I have struggled with my acne for years and have tried a billion different products and none of them worked like this one. It took about a month of consistent use but it made my skin look almost flawless. I’m not wearing makeup in either pictures.

I have dry, extremely sensitive skin. I bought this cleanser on a whim, and it’s the best one I’ve ever used! I’m shocked by all of the negative reviews.To be specific, this cleanser does not lather like soap. It reminds me a lot of how primer from Bare Minerals feels. It’s silky smooth! I use one pump, and rub it all over my face for about a minute. I’ve never had an issue with it not removing my makeup! I mean, waterproof mascara needs a little extra help coming off. But regular foundation, eye shadow, etc comes off just fine. I used to not be able to wash my face multiple times a day for fear of my skin drying out. Now I can wash my face as often as I want and I never dry out. I feel like this cleanser really does “restore the skin barrier”.Not every beauty product works for everyone. But I had to leave a positive review for this product I love so much! I look forward to washing my face now, and it’s helped me to stick to my skin care routine.

I ordered in September 2019 the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser 16oz. Today I'm looking to reorder this product but I was curious if anyone else was having continued dry skin like I am and so I looked at a few reviews and I came across a review that someone mentioned of the ingredients on her bottle label that she ordered here didn't match what was listed as ingredients on the advertised Amazons page. I went and grabbed my almost empty bottle and sure enough my bottle has those 4 ingredients (on the product that delivered instead of the product advertised) that came from Amazon. I never 2nd guessed that what I received might not be what I ordered, least of all be a Carcinogen . . . especially in women that have BREAST CANCER! I have BREAST CANCER and the labeling on the product advertised on the Amazon site did NOT have these ingredients listed on the label! So I looked today at my bottle and it HAS THOSE 4 INGREDIENTS: Methylparaben, Propylparaben, PEG-40 Stearate, Dipotassium Phosphate. On the app "Think Dirty", it shows these ingredients as: Carcinogenicity Tumor promoter, Documented links to BREAST CANCER, Known human carcinogen, Carcinogenic in lab studies, Hormone Disruptor and on and on! I'm on meds to keep my breast cancer from coming back and yet these ingredients, these 4 ingredients that I've been using since it delivered last September is possibly messing with that cancer prevention med! WHAT THE HECK AMAZON & CERAVE! Shame on you both! I'm sooooo disgusted/angry/disappointed right now.

The texture of this is like lotion, truthfully is fragrance free as advertised. My problem is that it doesn't cleanse well. After the first wash, I still visibly have makeup on my skin. After the second, I still have makeup on a cotton pad with toner applied. It takes three full washes to get all of the makeup off, and I am only wearing a light foundation with powder.

I have been using this face wash for about a month now. I wanted to wait to post a review to make sure my results weren't just a fluke thing. I suffer from cystic acne. I have since I was a teenager. I am now in my early 30's. I'll get normal pimples here and there, but I more commonly get deep cystic pimples that I could do absolutely nothing about besides wait (sometimes up to a month or two) for them to finally go away on their own. I have tried too many products to count ranging from Proactiv to Differin to every over the counter face wash/cream/gel you can think of. I tried changing my diet numerous times and cutting out certain foods that are known for causing acne flare ups. I have tried everything. I take Ortho Tri-Cyclen birth control pills since they are supposed to help with acne and also because birth control is supposed to help regulate hormones, and cystic acne is supposedly caused by imbalanced hormones. I got this face wash on a whim. I figured I've tried every acne product out there and always end up with dry, flaky skin (but would still get at least one new break out per week on average). I have read that acne can result from over drying of the skin - that your face produces excess oil to compensate for the drying facial products and the excess oil results in more clogged pores/acne. To be honest, I never bought into that and continued trying a million acne products. I finally broke down and purchased CeraVe Hydrating Face Wash - going in the complete opposite direction of all the products I've used in the past. I figured why not try it? My skin is clear for the first time in YEARS. I haven't had a new break out in two weeks now (which is truly miraculous for me). I still have areas that are healing (which is to be expected), but my skin is smooth. No more bumps and red spots. No more painful cystic acne. I don't know if this is the solution for everyone with acne, but this worked for me. It does feel weird to wash with until you get used to it. I am used to using products that leave your face "squeaky clean". This is more like washing with what feels like a lotion. It is fragrance free, which is a definite plus for anyone (like me) with sensitive skin. But my face is smooth and no longer flaky and tight feeling like it was before. Definitely worth trying if you suffer from acne.

This was too hydrating for me. I didn't feel clean after washing my face with it and it left a greasy feel. I won't be buying this again.

I have normal to slightly oily skin but in the winter I have very dry skin and some facial eczema. I used this product for a week during the winter. It honestly feels like your cleaning your face with hand lotion. And my face wasn't fresh and clean after using the product. It still felt oily in my T zone. I won't be using this again,

This supposedly gentle cleanser burned like crazy when I put it on. I did this on 3 separate occasions with no other product on my face and it happened all 3 times. I didn't want to break out so I washed it off immediately and gave it to my husband instead. Not good for even mildly sensitive skin.

Good size, will last for a long time.Works very well, leaves my skin feeling clean but hydrated. Even removes mascara well without irritating my eyes. Does not look the most fancy of all cleansers but is a good price and works so well, I keep it in a cupboard anyway so I don’t mind!Recommended by Nadine Bagggott on YouTube and am very pleased with this find!

I know the product is great, but the packaging being a piece of cellotape of the pump is atrocious

Loved this, my skin is extremely dry so it's good this this cleanser has hydrating properties. I have switched to cera ve products and within a few days I have noticed my skin begin to clear. Love this product, would highly recommend.

The only reason I paid more and ordered this one is because it was advertised as FACIAL. I received a simple Hydrating Cleanser and I am really upset now. WROND CLICKBAIT ADVERTISING and PRODUCT PHOTO!!!

its like a cream and you wash it off does leave skin feeling moist but its nothing special for the price.
