Wireless Endoscope Camera with 140° Wide Angle Lens, 16inch Focal Distance WiFi Borescope HD 1080P Inspection Camera for Pipe, Drain, Automotive Engine Checking(11.5FT)

I ordered this to help locate a body mounting bracket that fell into the base of my motorcycle engine/transmission assembly when I removed the clutch cover. It was held in place by two of the cover bolts. If I did not locate it I would have had to completely remove and disassemble the engine/transmission assembly to find it. After about 20 minutes of probing with the camera, I was able to locate and retrieve the part using the small hook supplied with the camera that screws onto the end of the camera. The picture quality was excellent. The hardest part of using was trying to orient myself to the image as it was like working using a mirror and image orientation was backward to what I was seeing on the screen. I love the product, even thought the recorded video came out scrambled. I have to give 5 stars to their customer service. They promptly responded to my questions in the trouble shooting form and will be sending me a new unit.

I previously bought a product from the same company and it worked, however I broke it and decided to order another from them. Unfortunately, this one didn’t work. I was able to connect it via WiFi, but unfortunately no picture showed on the app. I tried reconnecting the camera, deleting and reinstalling the app, turning on and off the camera, turning on and off my phone and nothing worked. I’m very disappointed.

The images and illumination were great. The only problem was use of the right angle mirror. The image was so wide that the image in the mirror was unusable unless you zoomed in to eliminate the background. It was still not very useful for right angle images. I was using this for inspection of engine cylinders and valves through the spark plug hole. This is the wide angle version which was likely the problem in this case. There is a non-wide angle version that might work better but I can't verify that.

I tested this camera against my other camera without wide angle and I must say it's a big different when it comes to close ups. More in your field of view which helps me get a point of reference where the camera is and locating what you want to find.

The camera has great zoom and picture taking quality, but the video recording leaves quite a lot to be desired. Sometimes, very seldom, it records as an AVI and this works good. Sometimes but not very often, most likely not, it will record a good mp4. Most of the time, 99.9% it records as an mp4 as gargage-error.
