Reliance Products Aqua-Tainer 7 Gallon Rigid Water Container (Pack of 2)

The containers are well built and feel like they'll last a long time. The price point was significantly lower than other containers of similar volume, so I wasn't too harsh with my rating, but my only complaint is that the spouts leak a slow drip. You can use some PTFE tape on the spout's threads if you want, but the valve itself will still leak a slow drip. I still have the container 5 stars though because of the price and overall sturdiness of construction as it's not a big deal to just flip the container up on its side (so the spout is pointing up in the air) when you're not actively dispensing water from it.

I would like to see these a little thicker plastic but that's only because I off road and they go in the back of an off-road trailer. I used them in the desert for a week. I didn't have any leakage of course you do need to give the water time in them to let seals swell so everything does fit good but that is no big deal that only takes good night. I wish it was more of a push button spigot rather than the twist handle spicket as with someone with arthritis it is a little tough.

The blue container itself if very strong and seems durable. The problem is that the cap and spigot will leak if you don't tighten them on their threads, causing the spigot to be almost horizontal when the container is on it's side, as is needed to pour water out. Also, the spigot itself (handle and mechanism) is held in place by friction, no threads, so it has to be tight to avoid leaks and becomes very difficult to turn. Especially for people with weak hands and wrists. I can use it as is but ordered some rubber washers to see that can get the spigot vertical without leaks. I also ordered replacement spigots to see it that helps but they are smaller than the spigot opening in the cap. Reliance sells an inferior hand pump and the opening for the cap doesn't match standard water bottle pumps. I wrote to Reliance about either creating a better pump or an adapter so standard pumps will work with the container. I'll update this review once I try the items I ordered.

We purchased these to keep a backup supply of water for plants, flushing toilets, etc., for a time when we lose water (which happens somewhat frequently where we live). These are excellent. They are not too heavy to move filled for short distances (I use a hand truck), and set easily on a chair or small table to get water into a smaller bucket. The retractable faucet is a big plus. They can be stacked two or three deep. Water in storage has not leaked at all.

Love these things. They are relatively leak proof although on my first one I had to add an o-ring between the valve and cap. No complaints.
