Hilka 125468 Multi Purpose Syphon Pump Kit

I bought this to empty the petrol tank in my kit car, prior to removing the tank. I couldn't believe how quickly it worked! Once the fuel starts running, it continues on its own without further pumping provided the outlet is somewhat lower than the bottom of the tank. I agree with other commenters about the kinks in the plastic hose. I managed to reduce the severity of some of them, but cut the hose a bit shorter to get rid of the worst one. It's about time Hilka changed the packaging to prevent the hoses kinking in the first place. One bit of advice: get a helper to hold the outlet hose in position while you work the pump. This is because the force of the fluid ejecting from the tubing causes it to jerk about (and out of the petrol can, in my case). After use I flushed it through with water.

I have used this some to syphon some petrol. Works pretty well except the two supplied hoses have lots of twist kinks which need to be smoothed out before it works effectively. Also hoses are opaque which is not ideal when siphoning.Does the job and at about e15 a fair price

Smaller than I thought would be. Patients when emptying fluid from one container to another.

In my opinion it's a complete waste of money. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but the main problem is keeping the hoses attached to the pump.

Cheap but works a treat

In my case, used to "steal" my central heating oil to use in an old Valor greenhouse heater.Works very well but care is needed as the hoses kink easily, also detach themselves from the inlet/outlet stubs.

When you pump the pressure pushes of the base with the two pipes on. Not great with water let alone bloody petrol. Not impressedI’ll pay extra and get a premium one next time.I wouldn’t give one star but that’s apparently the minimum. Should be able to give zero stars Amazon,

Also use on tour in case one of the group runs out of fuel
