Used this to edge a couple of floating shelves. Be careful your banding doesn't slide off the workpiece while you're working the iron across it. You have a decent working time before the glue sets up so it's not a problem to reposition just be aware.Takes stain great, especially with a quick wipe of mineral spirits as a pre-conditioner. Didn't gunk up my flush trim bit and was easy to cut with a utility blade, although it seems to be finger-jointed so the grain reverses direction in the middle of the banding sometimes.Would definitely buy again to edge more shelves.

After using an iron to apply the veneer, and then applying stain, it is almost undetectable. Matches my existing golden oak wall unit perfectly..

Great quality wood with smooth finish that requires little to no additional prep. The splices are very well cut and nearly seamless, if your project is so long that you cannot cut around them. I almost did notice it at all.Takes stain and finish well.It helps to heat up the glue with a heat gun and tack it onto your workpiece before going over it with the iron.

This looks pretty nice and was easy to apply.

Works for what husband needed it for

This worked great. I made a desk out of an extra white oak door, it made the edge I ripped look just like the top.

The banding is rift cut veneer, it is easy to blend into solid wood without the seams being visible

I bought this to cover the top riser of my staircase. The riser was actually part of the framing. I needed four straps to cover it. The problem is that gravity begins to do its works once the iron is used and the glue becomes wet. The strips begins to slide down. It's not horrible, but it is a pain to try to keep them in place.

Product name advertises Made in USA and package shows made in China. Frankly I don’t care where is made but they shouldn’t outright lie to get purchases from those that genuinely want a us made product.
