What else is there to say? The little puzzle of trying to fit your pipes together in a way that will make the most efficient oil refinery is so fun, and the randomized board state means every game will be different. Very satisfying game, and I will be playing it often...but it’s also not a very easy game. It throws you into the world of oil, and you have to figure out how to get something going, or you won’t have a very good game. But the problem of having no time or money to get things done is a good problem to have to think through and overcome, and after you’re done, you just want to play again and do better. All in all, pipeline is a great addition to any serious board gamers collection.

Great and brain-burning game. The order of play and the actions are surprisingly easy to pick up, and the board illustrations help a lot. The difficulty comes in making the right choices and optimizing your actions to get the most out of your every turn. Money is tight, so the sooner you get some refined oil you can trade at the markets, the better. Overall a joy of a game, even if the theme and mechanics would suggest a title easy to burn out on.

Love this game. Friends love this game. That is despite the fact that this game has caused numerous fights and nasty feelings. It's good though, it's a well played game that can be challenging, that doesn't always hold your hand to make sure you're doing as well as everyone else. No, this is a game where your dreams of a big beautiful pipe will be crushed by your friends, and they wont stop there as they trample over your lively hood and send you to the poor house way before the game turns the corner for it's last stretch.I've had friends ready to flip the table, angry as I've ever seen them, but as it wraps up, they ask when we're going to play again.

The art in this game is phenomenal as are all Ian O'Toole productions. The gameplay for the first few playthroughs will seem complex but its simplicity will reveal itself after multiple plays. This game is a tight economic tile-laying game in which players acquire different types of oil, pipes and tanks in order to fulfill contracts and ultimately make money where money equals points. Solid game!

Absolutely fantastic game, one of my top 3 now. We really didn't find it that hard to learn. Hard to be good at? Sure. Meant for experienced gamers, although my parents don't have as much experience with games and kicked our butts so fairly accessible for a heavy game.

This game is great. Five stars there.For some reason the board game I received seemed to have gotten damp at some point and sat damp for awhile - cardboard was all slightly wet feeling and much of the cardboard was mildew spotted. Will try to post pictures at some point. Unclear how this happened, as the shrink wrap packaging was intact. This may have been a one-off instance.Fortunately the mold does wipe off and I’ve dried the game out. Just annoying to pay $50 for something that arrives in that condition.

A fantastic economic game with a lovely pipe puzzle that invariably messes up all of your plans of oily domination. For a heavy game, it’s surprisingly quick to play!

Good interesting game. But can be heavy going at times!

Played this multiple times and not get sick of it. Components are top notch. Recommended!
