Intricate Mandalas: An Adult Coloring Book with 50 Detailed Mandalas for Relaxation and Stress Relief (Intricate Coloring Books)

As always with Jade Summer books the pictures are on good quality paper, crisp white with black on the back - but you still need a piece of card to stop any bleed through. After re-reading the reviews especially on the .com site I looked through my book again to make sure I had the book they were talking about - the pictures are decent enough but not fantastic, they are machine generated rather than hand drawn so there are no quirky little oddities which I love in hand drawn mandalas, there is a lot of repetition of the 'infill' from page to page and I have seen far more intricate mandalas than these, but if you are progressing from the easier ones and up towards more difficult ones then this could be a good start for you. I shall use them - in fact last night I did 3 of them - so just as well there are 50! They easily take my markers and gel pens, but I haven't had to use any fineliners yet.

I really like the designs in this book, neat and intricate. The paper is quite thin so is necessary to place another sheet of paper behind each design to prevent marking the next page. It would be good if these books were spiral bound as the tight spine does not allow the book to be opened flat, consequently, the last few pages aren't usable. However, still my favourite range.

I bought this product to help take my mind off of the constant pain that I suffer from. Each pattern is a challenge, and keeps me occupied for hours at a time. The only downside, is that my pens run out too quickly, and I have to buy new ones.My husband is frustrated at the amount of pens I keep buying and has threatened to divorce me. He leaves next Wednesday!! :-)

Didn't take long to come

I got this book as I am a fan of adult colouring and especially mandala designs. The designs are good and interesting as well as the printing is one sided which is helpful while using pens to colour. However the paper quality is really bad, it seems like standard printer paper and the bleed through of colours is quite bad, please see attached image of the colours bleeding to the back of the page. I had to use a cardboard sheet under each page to avoid ruining the image on the page underneath.

This may be ok for colouring with pencil. It's no good to use with ink pencils. The lines are too thick to ink over. I also attempted to colour the background with watercolour. It wrinkled the whole page. Expensive book for the quality.

I purchased this book because it is described as intricate but it is not. I have still enjoyed it

This is a lovely book of Mandalas for colouring but they're not as intricate as the book title states. I have other books with far more intricate designs. That said these are pretty and will probably suit someone who wants less of a challenge to begin with.
